all depends on age if victim too, compressions need to be 1 1/2 down, so if your patient is 90 years old, then its possible and not wrong to break ribs. breaking ribs would be the least of your worries

This video gives problematic advice. The breaths are no longer encouraged and nipples can be at different points for different people; especially if they have a lot of soft tissue (muscle/fat) on their chests. It's best to describe the placement in relation to the bone.

@chaowalker Breaths are no longer advised for the first 5 minutes of CPR. So for simplities sake I think they did the right thing. Plus, your better having people watch this video and learn CPR with breaths, than not care and know no CPR. The nipples are being encouraged more as landmarks, even in more professional courses, again for simplicities sake. Most people get stressed and forget, or can't find the xyphiod and waste time as a result

Yeah that's the way.. :)  just except that the order of breath/compression now a days are, 30 compressions first! Then 2 breaths... This is as long as it's not drowning or suffocation that's the obvious reason why the person is unconscious...

FYI, It is VITALLY IMPORTANT to open the airway before checking breathing or the casualties tongue is blocking the airway and you won't be able to detect breathing even if they are. It goes A, B, C, Airway then breathing, then CPR to get the Circulation going.
