Robert Lansing was replaced by Paul Burke because Excecutive Producer Quinn Martin wanted a younger looking lead actor. Actually Burke was 2 yrs. older than Lansing. But Martin felt that Lansing had become difficult to work with. So Lansing was KIA in the last episode and replaced with Burke who remained the lead actor throughout the series. Thanks for the memories!
I can barely recall this show from when I was a kid in the 60's. Lots of WWII-based shows then (Combat!, The Rat Patrol, Jericho, Hogan's Heroes, etc). I always liked the late great Robert Lansing....very underated & underused actor. THANK YOU for sharing this fascinatin' footage with us!

From 0;00 to 0:04 the music almost sounds like something from the original Star Trek.

By the way...check episode 1.11 - "Here's to Courageous Cowards"...the same theme appears @ the start of that one as well...
Actually... that so-called "Enterprise fanfare" is used extensively in this series...another example is the "P.O.W." episode....

Sounds close to the "Courage fanfare"...
or...is it the other way around????

By George, you're right on! It seems obvious Courage ripped this theme off for STAR TREK. AMAZING!!
