Quality of the tunes - excellent......

But the quality of the tunes? Not so hot.

The technical quality of the music was excellent - as in the samples used (drums, flute, organ) and the use of reverb, etc. The quality of music that the SNES could output was outstanding for its time, and Castlevania took full advantage of this.

But the tunes themselves (that is, the melodies): Many of them I didn't think were all that great, and some were annoying.

Hope that clarifies what I was saying.

Oh no, now don't get me wrong. I really enjoy the video as a whole, and I respect your opinions. I am only relating to your comment about it being a "russian roulette" when jumping on the flipping platforms. And that you seem to blame it on the "control" of the game. Sure, its not as responsive as mario 3. But thats not due to bad programming. The rules of this game are just different. I jump on those platforms and never fall through, it just takes timing. One other opinion that I don't agree..

Street fighter for snes and super castlevania was some of the greatest games i have ever see,in game play and in sound! about street fighter on snes was one of the best transfers that they made from the arcades,if you look the genesis edition you'll see what i mean.That was a real rubish! and i super castlevania you loose only if you make the mistake the game play is awesome.

i prefer the japenese voice of megaman and then the us version of capcom made a squeaky high pitched eardrum breaking voice. after megaman 8 came and i heatd his voice i was shocked then i saw megamans japanese voice i think it is better . but at least hey could make his voice a lot deeper

AVGN actually used that joke before this video was made, but I still liked it.

Duck Tales (the show) had a wicked intro song even tho i never got into the cartoon itself.

Duck Tales 2 shoulda went to SNES instead of NES (or did it?).

Yes they do, and in the video you can see Bubba talking. But my point was they don't actually do anything. They don't move, they don't blink, they don't run to safety after being rescued.

Great review... You add a great deal of entertainment to your reviews and this review of key Capcom games was fantastic. Ducktales 2 is possibly the best NES game, IMO... It's just loaded with great gameplay and is quite challenging. Keep up the GREAT work!
