  • You say you miss Dobwalls, well the plowmans railway, no longer exists, because of the planning permission problems, the railway is now in Australia!

    :(

  • the only reason Dobwalls went (Devon one according to wikipedia but its cornwall) was because of low income and looking at this in a way its good to see all the trains still togather but its a shame the track is nothing compared to what it used to be :(

  • i live in dobwalls and now pass the old railway all the time to take my dogs walking, and the really sad thing is that the development of the old railway now seams to have gone bust!!! so it was all done for nothing!!!

  • I miss Dobwalls :(

  • There's not alot to that line, will more be done to it?

  • wish dobwalls was still open it was a big shame to hear that dobwall was going

  • what is this song?

  • The title is Cinders & Smoke, it is by an American (Texan) folk singer, but I can't find his name.

  • cheers for that.

  • Did a bit more research, the artists name is Sid Hausman!

  • brilliant thanks :D

  • @Cheekylittlemonkey81 But he's not from Texas! He lives in New Mexico now but grew up in New Jersey and Massachusetts. Country and American folk singers fake their accents to sound like they are from Tennessee or Texas.

  • Although Im glad to see this still in the UK- its not a patch on what Old Man John Southern built in Cornwall- only to be squandered by his family after his death. Me and my family have holidayed to Cornwall since 1981 and will always remember Dobwalls Adventure Park as the NO 1 TOURIST ATTRACTION in the S/West.

  • john southern isn't dead he just handed the theme park over to his children so he could focus on running his art gallery.

(further proof - i saw him afew weeks ago)

  • Someone told me he was, and it seemed plausible that a Man who started someting with such enthusiasm and hype would just let it go to waste!I remeber the advert on National TV- 'The man who wanted to be an enginer driver, turned pig-farmer'- Thanks for correcting my misstake!
