You can use any at&t sim card to get pass the activation screen, you can ask anybody that has AT&T sim to let u use it just to pass the activation but then you'll be using your iPhone as an iPod....

@littlemsbananna yea umm if you download the 4.1 firmware it will let you downgrade without hassle and then after its done redoing everything it will show the recovery screen all you have to do is jailbreak with limerain and it will go to the home screen jailbroken and ready to go and if it does not work the first time do it again and it should work i had to do it twice

My issue (2g iphone) is that for some reason itunes fails to connect to the store when it tries to register my phone. It just says the connection timed out, yet my internet works fine, and I can load the store itself fine. But when I try to get iTunes to register my phone so, it times out.

@xcj23 yes, u just need to put the original sim into the phone, because after the update the phone gets locked and the only way to activate it is to PUT the original company's SIM INTO THE PHONE :D hope it helped :D

Then you add resources Wichita u can find on the web!!:) if u accedently updated to 4.3.5 u gotta Download redsnow to ur pc and plug ur iPod/iPhone in and open redsnow. Then click where it says "jailbreak" and follow the screen instructions!!:) after that happens ur Idevuce will reboot and look for a white icon saying cydia if that's there keep ur Idevice plugged in and open redsnow once
