  • try to replace the jumper in hdd.and make sure that the hard dissk is SLAVE and cd rom Master.you should also check the cables inside (the cable that comes from motherbord to hdd). Also check the boot secuence, configure in BIOS (make the cd-rom first and the hdd second one)and then put the windws cd on cd rom then try to boot from cd.and format it thats all and it have to work. BYE

  • samn thing happened to my computer ://

  • I have same problem with my thinkcentre! I never change hard drive or DVD rom drive in my Thinkcentre! I have installed windows xp on it and it didn't boot! BIOS want's to boot from internet (DHPC.......) I disconnect the cable but nothinkg! I took out hard drive and DVD rom. And then I connect booth two to one IDE cable. Now you need to play with jumpers and Master and Slave connection. I wish you luck! If you need and more questions about these just ask!

  • That was booting from the Network (PXE BOOT). You may need to change the boot priority to boot from HDD before network. Usually this occurs when the priority has been changed (faulty CMOS battery) or if it cannot boot from the harddrive. IF the hard drive had nothing on it, if it had booted from it it would come up with a message such as "no operating system found" thus leading me to think that it has not even tried booting from the HHD in this video.

  • @TechLiam I replaced the battery and turned of the PXE boot, but still does not work. I Agree, It is not trying to boot from hdd..

  • have you ever set the jump on your hard drive? have you set the master on your hard drive? have you set the booting section to hard drive? you basically know that wrong setting on eide interface will cause these problem.

usually old pc are more complicate than modern day pc.....it happen ALL THE TIME in our day...the day of pro..

  • @hanrinch I think it is a virus in the rootkit of the BIOS, flashed bios ad still no good, might get new bios... idk
