  • Yo sin beats u got a twitter? I'm gonna be installing my first head unit soon and I'm a lil nervous. The only thing that scares me is matching the right wires together. I'm installing the unit on a 01 Nissan maxima. If I get stuck, what's the fastest way to get ahold of u?

  • @nathand8 Sorry bro no twitter or any social network besides Youtube...and sucks I broke my cell so really i'm lost in the world...do you know what day you'll be doing the install and what HU it is...this way I can either free up the day or find a way of communicating to help if you need it...well let me know when and we see what up by the way dont get too nervous its pretty simple but I know so many wires and being different color can get you all rattled let me know when

  • hey please can you help me im installing a pyle indash dvd gps and i connected all the wires right yellow wit yellow and red wit red and ground wit ground and wit the pink wire one added to the ground the pink is lamp in, but the stereo goes on and work good but the buttons in the front have to be illuminated wit a blue light and the light is off of the buttons , what can i do to get the buttons of the stereo to illuminate how they supposed to be?

    Thank you

  • @elgoose2003 ok well i assume the harness has a wire for illumination....sometimes orange or white, this wire should be joined together with your memory or constant (yellow) in order to have the lights on when you turn the raidio on hoppe this helps

  • @SinBeatz1 yes it worked, thanks sinbeatz

  • @elgoose2003 I'm glad you got it Thank You for watching!!

  • how did you figure out which wire is going to which because theres different cololsr in radio and car

  • @matijaze003 well radio should come with diagram on it to identify the wires as for the car i would find the speakers first..basically play around with it most of time power would be red/brown speaker most of time have a solid color purple then purple/blk wire...use small battery and rub the wire to the +/- of battery listen for a pop to find left/front or right/rear speakers and so..by the you have less wires and ground will always be black

  • hey dude are all the stereos thr same to install?

  • @lopezchato88 depending if its double din or has any extra features. but for most part cd player comes with a wiring diagram so pretty simple and basic but you have to know which wire is which and this is how to do it with no harness usually if you get harness its just plug together and thats it no wires to connect by hand

  • hey please i connected my pioneer stereo like that but wen i turn off the key the stereo wont memorize radio stations wen i turn it back on wit the key?

  • @elgoose2003 you have wires mixed did you have a brown wire from the pioneer it is the power accesory wire that needs to go to a constant power to remember all the settings. not sure about color of wire but it is accesory wire to constant power wire

  • What kind of JVC is that?

  • @DJENZONE321 to be honest I forgot which one this was

  • thanks brother helped me alot and connect it :)

  • @DJXTREMOmixing thank you for watchin

  • thanks brother, I do not speak English but you could understand..just a question, the power cords I have to get directly from the battery,or I can use where it was the old radio ???????? please help, I would greatly appreciate, from and through..

  • @DJXTREMOmixing you can use the power wire from previous radio harness...just have to find it usually red. If not then run a separate wire from battery to the radio source...keep in mind you use a 8 or 10gauge wire for power. Hope this helps

  • Tip go to a junk yard and cut harness from a matching junk car. For harness

  • @Rainesblue thanks for the tip but the reason I did it this way is to show that it can be done without a harness of course more work but better understanding of car audio installations.

  • My fuse blew up. But I got. New fuse and it blew that one up too smoke involved. How can I fix my stereo. I know it ain't the fuse or the wires. Can it be inside the stereo?

  • @yungeddakid which fuse? if you seeing smoke id follow the wires to see where the smoke is coming from...i once crossed the positive n neg wires from a switch and made contact and burned the wire. which fuse from where do u see smoke?

  • dude ur awesome... u answered my question that i looked thru about 100 vids 4 thx!!!!!!

  • @Logindudeproductions thanks man glad i could help!!

  • @Logindudeproductions What was your question??

  • do you connect your ground to a metal bolt on your car or the black wire with the connecter? does that matter

  • @keventejada65 the black wire leads to ground so either or i believe would be ok

  • @SinBeatz1 alright thanks

  • Well people have different ways of connecting shit, i find the last guys method MUCH easier. Rather then the plug thing, because i get so in depth with the system anyway, i'm always working on it to add shit. but hey, do you.

  • HEY MAN IM DOING IT ON A SAME CAR WITH THE SAME WIRE CUT PROBLEM FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER HEY QUSTION WHERED U CONNECT THE GROUND AND WHICH COLOR ON THE CARS WIRE IS THE DIMMER ALSO DOES YOUR STEREO TURN OFF WHEN U TURN IT UP LOUD IVE CHANGED 4 HEAD UNIT ON MY FRIENDS MIRAGE AND ALWAYS THE SAME..PLEASE HELP ME THANK YOU!!

  • Like :) and my project today is goin to almost b similar cause now my left side goes out n it might b the harness comin loose from so many times I pull out my radio for stuff :( gotta re-do install 8)

  • Did they throw out old factory plug or Something :) cause I went to junk yard when they stole the system out my Cadillac and found a plug then i added the adaptor in between... whewww

  • @MrPep469 could have but figured for those who dont have one or dont want to get one show another way to figured it out...thanks for watchin!!

  • thats how i do all my head units i hate the plug in adaptors just extra money lol but there is another way to find which speaker wires are what man with out having the head unit conneted get a small battery like aa or bigger and touch ther wires to pos and neg and they will make a little pop noise so you can tell its like the rear right or left and so on

  • @sikvibration yea i seen Johnathan Price use the same method didnt occur to me to try it...but thanks ill def keep it in mind, and i agree adaptors are a waste of money...thanks for watchin!!
