In my opinion, all you need to do is lotion wet hair and do a braid out and wait for it to dry. The gel is unnecessary...Gel can give you flakes X-0

Wow you're soo preety, how do you do your hair in the morning though, and do you comb it, because my curls get destroyed and turn fluffy when I comb, even when my hair is wet, and it seems to look like the same type as yours.

@TenguMT well i have the same hair type as both of you, you should brush your hair in the shower then wen get out just dry it and put in whatever product you want thats what i do and it save me a lot of trouble

5 stars! I rock my Puerto Rican curly hair much like yours but I use Softsheen-Carson's Optimum Oil therapy Cream Oil 3n1 instead of gels and I finish it up with Pail Mitchell's smoothing Super Skinny serum.

When I have curly hair I use hot oil treatments that you can use in the shower, once a week. I like VO5 hot oil treatments. VO5 Hairdressing is oil and gel combined, so it may save you a step if you wanted to try it. Sometimes I skip the gel and just use olive oil, but it can give you pimples if it gets on your skin. My fav shampoo/conditioner is Dove daily moisture therapy. You can leave in a conditioner for 20 minutes instead of hot oil, but it's not as good.

I use to use jam. Since this video I don't use gel anymore but I used this yellow gel or this clear gel it's for curly hair. Now I just use suave healthy curls shampoo and the next time I wash my hair I'm gonna use garnier fructis shampoo and conditioner.
