  • Schools shouldn't be funded with property taxes. Property taxes in Illinois seem to be quite arbitrary at times. Property taxes should be for municipal government only. School funding should come from income taxes.

  • Taxes are the bane of existence. We buy our houses and pay a tax. Then "they" charge you a "school" tax in excess on the low end of over 300 + per month. Even if you have no children. live there 20 years and you pay 60k+. The math doesn't add up.

  • Does that make sense to you? The value of the property is going down, but the taxes on it are going up? Where does the government get off doing that to people?
