  • the lego engines are 'L' Gauge.

Fantastic video and love the layout.

  • Cheers mate. I have measured the track to 32mm (3.2cm) which is O Gauge. L Gauge may be a new term for it. lol. Cheers.

  • what water do you use for your wilesco I was told by mamod that pre-boiled tap water was best but I have gone and got and got myself a bottle of distilled hornby live steam and I dont think its the right stuff :(

  • Hi there. We used tap water but it leaves limescale deposits on the inside of the boiler and seals (not good). Distilled water is by far the BEST option for any live steam engine matey. We use it in ours. Cheers

  • were do you get distilled water I cant use rain water because I live in manchester (nice country area not crappy area) and theres acid rain so thats a no

  • What are you using in your new mamod then? Tap water? We're currently using defrosted freezer ice, which, when defrosted, is distilled water! It all depends on wether you can get enough of it lol.

  • Yes am using pre-boiled tap water but the thing is i cant use rain water because its acid rain but the tap water is realy soft meaning its a bit like distilled with only very few minerals anyway if you seen his channel he called spokesman he has like 50 odd mamods and wilescos etc and he said tap would be fine
