Alice in Chains were my best friend when I had none, Lane Staley's body was found on my birthday, it was raining that day. It means a lot to me to hear this band do the tribute to Lane Staley, Road Rash was my.. car. (Age 13)
I REALLY HOPE I SEE YOU I .. that was when he helped me.after he helpedme i was RAVEN </3 the mere thought of it isn't nearly as bad as reality so why lie Holli? " Why"? "Raven noones home. that flight is my misery!!! If there had been smack at the end of "was Raven.. It's about damn time im getting sick and my minds not mine!" maybe this woulds have different endings
Nah... Black Lable's Song was kinda lame and Pearl Jams... Meah... Also kind of lame and I hate Staind so.... No go... I made this video LONG before anyone had videos out for Layne in fact I even got the chance to show it to Layne's mother who really appreciated it...
Great song, Layne was a great artist.. I actually named my first son (first and middle name) Layne Cobain but, this wasn't a Layne tribute by any means!
I have loved this song since it came out. I know they wrote it for Andrew Wood of "Mother Love Bone". I think it is a great song from an eclectic bunch of artists. Since Andrew and Layne both died of similar causes it says it all. "Mother Love Bone" only released one album "Apple" after Andrew's death. At least we have many songs to listen to from AIC/Layne. RIP. You are missed.
song was not made for lane stanley, it was made for andrew wood the singer/songwriter of mother love bone, and malfunkshun who died of a drug overdose before he reached the peak of his fame.
to NYPJ:No one said this song was made for LAYNE STALEY(learn to spell). I really don't think Chris Cornell would mind it being used as a tibute to Layne as well, considering that Cornell sang at Layne's funeral.
if you are telling me that I need to spell because I spelled his name wrong, maybe you should use a spell checker before sending the comment.... because it is TRIBUTE, not tibute...
anyways.. I do not understand your hostility, I was just pointing the fact out that this song was written for one of the great unforgotten singer/songwriters that inspired Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and many other Seattle bands....no disrespect to AIC and Layne
A sadly missed hero.....
