  • @kennit1000 Never said V-twins were superior. What are you talking about? I said, I'm a V-twin guy. Trust me, I've been riding motorcycles for over 30 years. I know all about V-4s. Honda interceptor, the Aprilia, Honda RSV-4 Ducati Desmo Sedicci, etc, etc. I said my S4R would smoke MANY of the inline fours out there.

  • Sounds like a TL1000R

  • @kennit1000 Try Aprilia RSV4, Honda RC51 or Ducati 1198 and you'll see the power. As far as sound, some likes V-Twin and some likes inline.

  • The Jardine carbon fiber is sooo light, it weighs like at most 4lbs. Compared to the stock pipe at like 20lbs, the difference is very noticeable in terms of weight and handling. Its gotta be the lightest and loudest pipe you can put on a Buell. Maybe it produces like 1 or so less horsepower than other pipes at the high end, and it has less grunt in the mid-range...but those are dyno #'s. If you put the bike on the street, the 16lbs or so your saving should even out the actual acceleration.

  • can you fit two people on a buell??

  • @pumpkinpieguy77 yeah. just not comfortably. you can see the rear seat, i hope your girl is small. the older buells have much larger seats though. my 1999 x1 lightning seats a passenger just fine.

  • @mastakilla64 cool thanks

  • i just put a Jardine muffler on my XB9r, and i have the ECU tuned to race now, i also put in a high flow air filter on it too! although i do have a problem in the fuel pump. there is an open loop in the wiring for it. im getting it taken care of little by little. all my money that is leftover from my bills is being put into it.

  • sounds so different than 4 cylinders

  • these bikes look pretty cool

  • were did u get the fender elimator kit at and were did u fine the handle bar mirrors at

  • Respond to this video...

  • I took a grinder to it. I found the mirrors at a bicycle shop.

  • bello

  • man that exhaust sounds nice, maybe Ill change out my stoke one. I love my Buell!

  • Wow I,m impressed, both our bikes could sing a duet sounds so sweet, I,ve got the Vance & Hines

  • Beautiful, beautiful bike. Love Buells. Such an underrated manufacturer. Shame they went under. I'd pick this over a jap bike any day.

  • sounds perty quiet

  • @pekinblah hahaha, that is just my crap cameral. Definitely not quiet.

  • cool

  • hey sweet bike. how did you shine up the exhaust header. I just bought an 04 and the header is very dull looking

    thanks

  • im going to buy one of these bastards

  • been pulled over for no mirrors? looks tough. i think ill do the same to my xb.

  • @maggotpuke : Nope, they're mirrors and they work just fine.

  • non pieghi una sega!!!! guarda il centimetro della vergogna sulla ruota ;)

  • This bike is badass... maybe I will get a buell next. I am trying to figure out what I want for my next bike but I keep going back and forth between like 10 different bikes. It was easy to pick a nice looking 250 because kawasaki makes the only one in my area. When I move out into the big world of bikes next riding season I will have a hard time picking a bike. I don't want to rush it!

  • dude best to get a 600 or a 1000.urll immediately want a larger capacity bike wen u get a 250 as dose liter bikes zoom pass u

  • sick ass bike....i dig it : )

  • sv65

  • wow dude that thing is clean

  • @kingofska108 Thanks!

  • they are no racing machines.. they have other qualities if you can live without 5 digit revs

  • Haha the camera auto adjusted for higher sound when he revved it. Nice..

  • im about 1 metre 70 am i too small to ride this bike

  • lol. i wish i had that problem. i'm 17 years old and 6'4". i love this bike, but i'm too big. plus i'm growing still. =(

  • woow u r tall for ure age cool

  • ya, i get that a lot. i've been looking though, and i think i can find a lightning XB12s LONG, and i might fit a little better on that

  • how many bikes have a v4 engine though... a vfr a vmax o and an rsv4 which is out of the price range of most

  • sv650

  • an sv650 is a 'v-twin'

  • you were commenting about how most vtwins are out of price range for most.....sv650 is cheap thats why i said it!

  • no... i said most v4's were out of price range for most... never mind

  • thats why Buell is doing very well in the AMA?

  • sweet... i want one now...

  • To each their own. I now have a Ducati S4R with the 996 superbike engine. It is a V-Twin and will smoke many of the Inline fours. I guess I'm just a V-Twin guy. I'm sure that's (I4) what you meant when you said V4.

  • @xbandg naa theres v4s too. honda vfr and yamaha v max are two examples

  • @xbandg pretty certain kennit1000 meant v4 several bikes have v4 engines most notably the ducati desmodici rr and aprillia rsv4

  • @xbandg Or, he may have been talking about the VMAX, which is a V4

  • @xbandg well he could be referring to any of the italian V4 superbikes like the ones that come from Aprilia

  • i saw a photo of a buell only without the last piece( above the rear wheel)absolutely awesome!!!

  • Hey nice bike, just got the exact one and ordered the Jardine RT-1, I have a question, once you take of the stock pipe off how do you secure or screw the plastic that had the brackets on the stock pipe to the new pipe? Does it come with them or what? Please get back to me thanks. Fellow Bueller.

  • Yes, comes with everything you need. i really had to "work" the Jardine steel brackets to get all the holes to line up. Kind of a pain in the arse, but very nice overall.

  • how does it compare to stock?

    over all loudness?

is it the same deep tone?

  • I cant speak for the Jardine but I have the buell race pipe on my 04 12R. I love it. its a very similar sound to the stock pipe but much more outspoken! haha the only problem is they seem to be a bit hard to come by these days. the jardine i think is a bit more raspy. whichever sound you're goin for, its hard to make a buell sound bad!

  • is that jardine like a straight pipe, is there baffels and crap in it?

i got a 06 buell xb12r and lookin to put an exhaust on it. i want to keep the deep throaty sound. just make it louder

  • fantastic looking bike and a great sound to go with it.

  • sounds great!. I joust bought my 08 XB12X Ulysses and I am thinking of buying the same exhaust, but still not sure which one is it. Could you please give me the part number of it?. And if you install the "quiet module" Thanks a lot in advance!.

  • I can't remember the part number, but it was the Jardine "Off Road Use Only" performance slip-on. No, did not use a quiet module! It was loud, but very nice sounding. It had a nice, performance sound, not obnoxious.

  • Thank you!. I did buy it yesterday. Will see my neighbours face now on...bye!

  • la prossima volta ti faccio sentire io la mia xb12s con jardine che scoppietta.......sound all ennesima potenza!!!!!!!!!!

  • i have a zx6r and i have to say, i absolutely love that sound. both are beautiful in their own ways.

  • Thanks for the comments!

  • Hi,

I was wondering did the tail come chopped that way or did you purchase a tail tidy of some kind to remove the hidious license plate that comes factory?

If so, where did you buy it?

    Thanks in advance,

P.S. Your bike looks amazing and sounds super sweet.

  • I took a grinder to it, polished with emery cloth, and then primed and painted with several coats of industrial grade rattle can paint!

  • why does my xb12 have a grey frame then?

  • Where did you get the exhaust system chromed like that?

  • Read a bit further down. I hand polished the pipes with a wide array of emery cloth, metal polish, and elbow grease.

  • it looks and sound absofuckinlutelly amazing lol. they should sell it this way and im preety sure alot more ppl would buy them.

  • THAT is an XB9s....Unless if you got a big bore 1200 kit....its a 9.

  • What makes you think that?

  • Buell has made it very easy to recognize the difference in btween an xb9 and an xb12 by the color of the frame. And Xb9 has a grey frame, while an XB12 has a black one. Look it up if you dont beleive me

  • Just a correction to your comment...You need to do some more home work...the xb9 frame is grey...but it is a light grey...the same grey on the seat struts...the thing between the rear tire and the seat...watch the video again...the xb12 is a black frame,in writing...but it is a dark charcoal...i own an 08 lightning sgc...the same color as in the video...Trust me it is the dark frame for the 12s and the light frame for the 9s...look at more videos

  • Dude, All your doing is reinforcing my statement. Thats exactly the point i was trying to make, And im done argureing the point.....And its NOT the same color as the seat struts. The color of the struts is nothing more than natural aluminum, And NOT a painted or powdercoated color from the fatory. PLEASE dont argue this matter any farther, as you would only be proving yourself more wrong than you alredy are.

  • youe comment "THAT is an XB9s..Unless if you got a big bore 1200 kit..its a 9"..that was the comment i was replying to..not arguing any point other ethen the size of the bike..it is an XB12..and yes to reinforce your comment on color was all i was doing..as far as the NATURAL ALUMINUM..there is a paint code for this color that is the same as the XB9 frame..it is 1c8..Just a simple reply, nothing more,i am an airbrush artist,i know my shit...thanks for your time

  • People like you should just shut up, get your pie hole stuffed so you don't make stupid comments. Its a 12s, not a 9. I have not seen a 9 anywhere with amber rims. The 12frame is charcoal with amber rims and amber Buell lettering. They did this for the first couple of years. The 9's are grey, with grey/silver rims. What are you, a 10 year old brat that can't be corrected? There is nothing worse then people who run their mouth about things they have no clue about. You=Idiot.

  • The sub frame (seat struts as you call them) are painted. How do I know? I nicked the paint when I was chopping the tail.

  • Awesome!! i have one too, i friggen love my bike!!

  • gota love them buells

  • Hey your headers look awesome. What did you do to them? My headers are all tarnished from heat.

  • I hand polished them with emery cloth and metal polish. Pain in the arse, but worth it.

  • I'd love to get mine like that. I tried hand polishing them with some eagle one but it didn't do anything at all. What kind of metal polish were you using...and were the pipes dark before you polished them?

  • my pipes are gold from heat and I burned my backpack on it and had a shit load of stuff to rub off. I used a scotch pad and wd40 and they became shiny fast :)

  • potato potato potato potato potato

  • can deffinitly tell its a harley brand

  • hello as you make to having tail pipes therefore polish and gold?

  • BESTE!!!!!!!!!!!LOL:D

  • vendo buell 3337127917

  • nice sound. i just removed my Drummer exhaust from my 06 XB12ss as it ran poorly; it is possible the injectors have to be remapped. i went back to the factory exhaust with the servo controller and it runs much better, even thought the sound sucks. did you have to retune after installing the jardine? thanks!

  • No, just installed the Buell Race ECU and had the TPS reset. Ran great!

  • you guys should get them dyno tuned...

at work today(i work at a harley dealership.) we got another 11horse and 13ft.lbs of torque out of a 1125r

  • Whats up. I bought an 07 xb12s and wanna do some work to it. How satisfied are you with your upgrades. From what I have been finding it seems like upgrades can get real expensive and im wondering if you think its woth it. Matt

  • I wouldn't ride it any other way. Actually, I just sold it for cash towards a Buell 1125R eventually. The mods were relatively inexpensive, but that was before the Race ECU was hard to find. The price of the exhaust was average for a sport bike and the tail I fabbed my self. Body parts and etc. are pretty expensive, because most come from Europe where Buells are more popular. My mods were subtle and were done all by me. IMO, you can't ride a Buell with stock exhaust, it just isn't the same.

  • jammer van die schaamrandjes

  • Music... just music

  • wicked sound dude, where did you get the fender eliminator for your tag

  • I fabricated it. I used a 4" grinder with a cut off wheel, aluminum grinding wheel, and a polishing disk. The license plate light was there from factory hidden under the aluminum, so I cut out that section to expose the clear lens integrated into the factory light.

  • really good sound :)

  • Yo how much was this bike man

  • Brand new, they are about $10,495. I got a really good deal on this 2004 with under 1600 miles. I've spent a bit of cash on performance upgrades though.

  • did you order this....? where did you get it from, i would like to get it for my buell firebolt

  • I ordered it directly from Jardine. My brother's friend owns a motorcycle shop. I'm sure you can find it on Jardine's website.

  • nice! best sound heard on a buell!!

  • Just a quick vid to show the sound of the Jardine slip on. The pipe is loud, but doesn't sound ratty like HD drag pipes. Must repack it occasionally.
