The whole reason Dragonranger fights all the Zyurangers is because he's mad at Geki for getting adopted and raised by the enemy tribe when he was still a baby. Half way through arc it feels like the story starts to really drag as Burai's reasons for wanting Geki Dead become even stupider then his initial reason for starting the fight.

The US for mmpr wanted merchandise to sell, so they figure let kids know that violence is only necessary to neutralise the situation, this scene was great but it dragged on with with agression, ours stopped in like half the time.
well as much as i hate to say it, the power ranger fight scene seems a bit generic and boring if you compare it to this, if saban studio's made Tommy and Jason fight outside of costume sword fighting like this the fanbase of mmpr would of loved it even more.. its not that violent every kid loves that stuff..
What's funny is that at 3:02 Geki is charging Burai and then he stops all of sudden, throws his sword! Gets his sword back in a flash and then is right up against Burai and is slashing him for dear life!
The fight was good but the editing at the end was sloppy, it could have been more dramatic!

Burai usage of the dagger is incredible! I liked that song when Tommy played it, But Burai's version completely obliterates his. I love it. DINO BUCKLER!! vs DRAGONZORD!! My money's on Burai.
that's one the thing I liked about this show compared to MMPR, this isn't cartoony like the US version, although I loved the saga with the Dinozords and Dragonzord
@abridgedfanboy power rangers is great for nostalgia value, and for mindless fun, but I agree with you, the sentais are better and have much more substance.
Then let me give you some background info. Unlike with Tommy, Buria wasn't brainwashed, he was the Zyuranger's enemy of his own will. He's actually Geki's older brother. What happened with them is that their father who was too arrogant for his own good opposed a king and lost, but the king couldn't bring himself to kill the man and instead took his younger son (Geki) as his own. That man then made Burai train to exact his revenge, but later found that man he wanted to kill was dead.
To explain that, all the Zyurangers were hibernating for millions of years. When Burai awake and found that man he wanted to kill was long dead, he decided to settle with killing the zyurangers. Although he didn't work for Bandara (Rita's counterpart) he did end up allying with her, but later betrayed her and she nearly killed him for it. Another thing is that because Geki was sympathetic to his older brother his for a long time unwilling to fight him.
After this fight Geki decided to let Burai attack him if it help him feel better, but Burai couldn't do it, and that evil sword he was using vanished. After that the other Zyuranger let him join.
In the episode before this when Buria that dagger, there was fight where Dragon Ceaser (known to Americans as Dragonzord) beat up Grifozer (Goldar) and Lamia (Scorpinia) that was cut from the American version for obvious reasons.
Your welcome. Oh, another thing. Buria had a limited life force due a fatal injury he received before the series, so unlike with Tommy their were time he didn't help the team. To make sense of that, there were episodes of zyuranger that happened after Buria joined that the team that he didn't appear in, and because there wasn't a reason for Tommy not to help those episodes were used before he appeared.
The violent stuff was cut out because of the stupid people, and because Saban deviated from Zyuranger's plot, it was change episode order or come with even more crummy excuses as to why Tommy would join the fight.
Removing Tommy to begin with wasn't a popular decision. If they killed him, what they would face would be something along the lines of what TF faced when they killed Optimus.
Eventually the Witch Bandora (Rita) destroyed the place Buria could be in where his time wouldn't be used up, resulting in his death despite the efforts of the Zyurangers to save. He dies in a very emotional scene. He later appears as a ghost convince the team to keep fighting after their defeat from Talos (Cyclopsis) and Great Satan (Lokar). The footage for the episode Doomsday was actually from the finalee in Zyuranger, after that season was battle with monsters created for Power Rangers.

I see why the Green Ranger was so popular in America... Red Ranger's win over him was a LOT less decisive than Geki's win over Burai (even though it's still some bullshit that both Burai and the Green Ranger lost).
If you listen and look closely around 3:09 the sword flies back to his hand. I do agree with you that this battle is way better then the one in power rangers. Though I do not like the fact that he lost the way he did I think that move by Geki was important enough to save as a suprise in a way to subdue Burai and teach him a lesson. I think it is because of this and the mercy of Geki that Burai decided to become a good guy if I remember correctly. Good video

They are Zyuranger, Dairanger and Kakuranger. Then he tried to fuse Kakuranger and Carranger as well which got the whole franchise boring. By the way in Dairanger, Mondo the Magician is the final enemy they face and Lord Zedd is not married to Rita nor is he an undead zombie.

Ok.. how the HELL does Geki get to throw his sword and still have it in his hands?
I see why the Green Ranger was so popular in America... Red Ranger's win over him was a LOT less decisive than Geki's win over Burai (even though it's still some bullshit that both Burai and the Green Ranger lost).

If you listen and look closely around 3:09 the sword flies back to his hand. I do agree with you that this battle is way better then the one in power rangers. Though I do not like the fact that he lost the way he did I think that move by Geki was important enough to save as a suprise in a way to subdue Burai and teach him a lesson. I think it is because of this and the mercy of Geki that Burai decided to become a good guy if I remember correctly. Good video

Man, this fight is so much cooler than Jason Vs Tommy!. Well, I guess that's mainly cause it's longer. If they didn't shorten the PR version so much, I might have said other wise.

Lol dude that's kind of funny that even if Burai activated his sheld Geki still attacked. I think he just wanted to know why he was walking while playing the flute. as a result it let to a ass kicking. but he pulled through and win. Burai so owning Geki in that battle.

They are Zyuranger, Dairanger and Kakuranger. Then he tried to fuse Kakuranger and Carranger as well which got the whole franchise boring. By the way in Dairanger, Mondo the Magician is the final enemy they face and Lord Zedd is not married to Rita nor is he an undead zombie.

Dude, have you at least read my first comment? I know those three Super Sentai are Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger, Gosei Sentai Dairanger, and Ninja Sentai Kakuranger, and I know Bandora, Rita Repulsa's original Japanese name, was the main enemy to the Zyurangers.
