Once I started to open my car door and the cop very sternly told me to stay in my car. At that moment I realized that he didn't know who I was or what my intentions were and that for all he knew I might be a danger to him. I complied and apologized and explained that I just wasn't thinking when I opened my car door. I always address cops as "Officer" and with a respectful tone. One cant imagine that threats to their lives these officers have to prepare for. Being a mom is no excuse.

This woman resisted, why cant you see, the first issue is the woman exiting the car. When you get pulled over stay in your car unless otherwise told. Second when this woman got out of her car, the officer instructed her to get back in and she resisted. Once she resists the officer has every right to use any force necessary to subdue the suspect. I was yelled at and threatened with arrest for basically being confused.

Once I started to open my car door and the cop very sternly told me to stay in my car. At that moment I realized that he didn't know who I was or what my intentions were and that for all he knew I might be a danger to him. I complied and apologized and explained that I just wasn't thinking when I opened my car door. I always address cops as "Officer" and with a respectful tone. One cant imagine that threats to their lives these officers have to prepare for. Being a mom is no excuse.

I'm pretty sure the cop car isn't a movie theatre where you can recall the video footage and play it for anyone who wants. You can request the footage later from public records request. The officer is just doing his job, you never get out of a vehicle unless a officer says so. Police officers are showed at academy's videos of officers being shot and killed(and i've seens some really bad ones) becasue the driver exited the vehicle. I've seen women, children, and men shoot or open fire on cops during traffic stops, they don't take this stuff lightly.

This woman resisted, why cant you see, the first issue is the woman exiting the car. When you get pulled over stay in your car unless otherwise told. Second when this woman got out of her car, the officer instructed her to get back in and she resisted. Once she resists the officer has every right to use any force necessary to subdue the suspect. In my sleepy stupor I drove around a couple of cop cars that I thought were responding to a wreck on the far side of the road. They were actually blocking the road but had not set out any cones or signs. I admit it was stupid of me, but i was beyond tired and just not thinking. I was yelled at and threatened with arrest for basically being confused.
