What!? I used to have a Windows XP desktop that was borrowed from a close family member (who ended up giving it to us), BUT IT NEVER LET ME FLY!!! :/

Despite the fact that it got infected by a few viruses, it was the first OS that I remember using that will actually turn on lol

Not everyone still using XP is running it on an old PC. I've just done a new build with a quad-core AMD processor, 4Gb RAM and a 9800GT videocard. I could easily run Vista or 7 on that but see no reason to change till support ends in 2014 as XP still works just fine for me.

@yUsReE96 or because its unorganised, and its a ram/process hog. while 7 is more resistant to viruses than the previous versions, that's were the improvements end.

changes include lost some compatibility, less organised, heavier on the system, required for DX10 and up (WTF way to force me to upgrade). XP was much better. the only reason I prefer 7 is because porn kills xp faster than 7.

The commercial that started it all... and by all I mean the chain of unbelievably crappy Windows versions. XP was *okay* for Microsoft standards, but it was sooo slow after a few months of usage. Vista needs no comment, and Windows 7 just sucks.

I have 3 partitions on my computer with 3 different operating systems:

Windows 7

Windows XP

Windows Vista

I live happily with those, I work with them for different stuff: Windows 7 for everything because it's the main one, Windows XP for Photo Story 3 and the majority of the stuff too except playing new games or saving lots of videos and pictures and Windows Vista for using programs like Windows Mail or Windows Photo Gallery that were only included in that operating system.
