I've observed Christian who convert to Islam. I listen to their testimonies & what I typically hear is them say "That's what made sense to me or it was the most logical conclusion I could come to. It's what brings me peace & makes me happy."

I believe for example that "hadith" such as "death penalty for leaving Islam", etc. are corrupt, as our prophets actions through LEGIT REPORTED hadith validates that he indeed spared those who deserted him, even in troublesome times...

In the end, I believe it's Hadith which are the reason why Muslims are lagging behind today. The Quran is the sole authority.
@e17jack No, this is very simple.. There are hadith that has been reported through the times.. It's an advanced but validated system that preserves the original hadith. There are like a million fabricated hadith coming out of Iran and a large amount from the middle east aswell, these hadith cant be proved as the real deal, as they are not reported, they also happen to have the most questionable content anyway, so one doesnt exactly need much brain to tell that they are foolish and fabricated.

I've observed Christian who convert to Islam. I listen to their testimonies & what I typically hear is them say "That's what made sense to me or it was the most logical conclusion I could come to. It's what brings me peace & makes me happy."
On the other hand, the testimonies of Muslim converts were miraclous signs of Jesus appearing to them in a dream or talking to them in person or they'd see a bright light like the great apostle Paul who persecuted the Christians did in the Bible.

By the way the Muslims very copied anything from the Christians because the Qur'an came from Allah, it was the message given to Jesus (PBUH) and then Allah's will made the Bible corrupted and then Allah sent the final message to Muhammad and that was the message that will never be changed.

@e17jack some hadith are, some are legit. The best way to go about this for yourself (and to avoid offending others) is to keep low profile unless you are asked about the hadith.. I believe for example that "hadith" such as "death penalty for leaving Islam", etc. are corrupt, as our prophets actions through LEGIT REPORTED hadith validates that he indeed spared those who deserted him, even in troublesome times...

@wretchedyo No doubt some Hadith are legit but how reliable can a document be which was passed on for 200 years verbally?! Using this logic most Hadith must be fabricated and the vast majority are definitely not verbatim.
And if one disregards a certain Hadith, how can they follow others? You cannot pick and choose, this is why Muslims do not follow the Bible or Torah.
In the end, I believe it's Hadith which are the reason why Muslims are lagging behind today. The Quran is the sole authority.

@e17jack No, this is very simple.. There are hadith that has been reported through the times.. It's an advanced but validated system that preserves the original hadith. There are like a million fabricated hadith coming out of Iran and a large amount from the middle east aswell, these hadith cant be proved as the real deal, as they are not reported, they also happen to have the most questionable content anyway, so one doesnt exactly need much brain to tell that they are foolish and fabricated.

@maimuna4lyf I do not believe there is "Dajjal" or "Mahdi". It's not mentioned ANYWHERE in the Quran and seems like stuff taking from Christianity and fabricated into Hadith.
And I don't believe in Hadith, I follow the Quran only.

@maimuna4lyf Hadith cannot be the words of the Prophet because he preached only what was revealed from the Quran. In Hadith we find numerous things which are not mentioned in the Quran and only Allah has the authority to declare such.
You cannot prove that Hadith are words of the Prophet as they were passed on for 200 years by different and dodgy characters and the Prophet wasn't even alive to challenge these claims by Imams centuries after his death!
All beliefs should be respected :)

Don't be decieved by anyone who denies the existence of Dajjal . It is not a copy from the Bible . All Prophets had warned their people about Dajjal but Prophet Muhammad saw was given a clearer view of the problems .

@drascobiz1 I am a Muslim, by definition of the Qur'an. It was this type of thing that almost have me leave the Deen. If the Dajjal is going to be such a trial in this life, why didn't Allah mention it in the Qur'an??? That's because its not true, it's from the book of Revelation's in the Bible. Muslims need to shake this kufr, and go back to the source which is the Qur'an, not Hadiths compiled hundreds of years after the Prophets death. Please find the verse in Qur'an about this "Dajjal"...
