That was so cute, but brought tears to my eyes at the end when i learnt these beautiful birds were no longer. Being a fellow Eclectus owner, i dont look forward to the day that i have to live with a similar emptiness.

They're all adorable birds,and 'm sorry about Kyra.I lost my first bird to a bad brkoen leg.He broke it while I was at school,my mother had put a cloth in the cage to keep him warm because it wasDecember,and he got caught in it and snapped his leg.He died a few days after Christmas,so I know your pain. Do these birds pluck a lot?

Birds pluck if they are bored or distressed. One species isn't more likely to pluck than another, but having said that, larger parrots need more interaction and are more inclined to get bored, so I guess the bigger the bird, the more likely they are to pluck.
