  • This music is Soooooo beautiful. I love it when the bass and cello come in. The bit where the Celesta comes in is dream like.

  • the final part is almost like a lullaby, can you hear it? :)

  • Not many of the people I know, can understand how personal The harry Potter story is to me. And just listening to this bring such a nostalgic feeling to me, that no matter in what mood I may be in, any Harry Potter score will always make me cry. Just starting to listen to the few starting seconds... Immediately I have tears in my eyes.

  • Amazing job, Desplat! Congratulation!

  • IF HARRY POTTER GET SNUBS BY ACADEMY AWARDS AGAIN I WILL RIOT. IF ALAN RICKMAN IS NOT NOMINATED I WILL RIOT.

  • ......the resurrection stone

  • He desrves the Academy Award this year. By far the best score of the year.

  • THIS ISN'T DEATHLY HALLOWS, THIS IS HALF BLOOD PRINCE WHERE HARRY KISSES GINNY HAHAHAHA YOU ARE ALL IDIOTS

  • @oaydaniel HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Are you an idiot?

  • @oaydaniel : No its A New Beginning from The Deathly Hallows Part 2-he used some similar notes as Hooper did and reprised "Dumbledores Farewell" and "Hedwigs Theme" in the movie only ( not on the soundtrack).

  • @oaydaniel no your talking about the song called harry and hermione

  • This track made me want to bawl in the theatres, it was even more beautiful and heart-breaking at the same time with the scene (those who've seen the movie already should know). One of the best. I sincerely hope that the film AND the music gets recognised. In my opinion, the Harry Potter world has far little recognition in terms of awards. True, the legendary series does not need awards to let the world know it's one of the best, but the artists who work so hard DO need recognition.

  • excellent Desplat!!! wooooww!!! incrediblee!!

  • I want to see Lily's theme :)

  • this track = the final nail in my coffin!!!

  • I can't listen to this without crying. Amazing.

  • i really hope this gets an oscar for best orginal score :)

  • Also ,best thing about Desplat is that he's a big Harry Potter fan. He loves the books, the films and the soundtracks. His favorite character is Dobby.

  • I hope we can see more of the recording sessiones. Especially because Evanna Lynch was there, during the recording of the music for the Gringotts sequence.

  • i hope the academy finally recognizes the last HP film because it is simply AMAZING!

  • it's just beautiful

  • ็HP has ended, but Alexandre lives on.

    I've been listening to him for years, and Alexandre never gives disappointment;

I should send this soundtrack straight to the Academy 2011, wishing they will 'finally' understand what's a 'true' masterpiece is.

  • wonderful truly amazing i almost cry hear the melody

  • i want to see john williams himself in front of me

  • immense,he wrote music for 51 tracks for the deathly hallows, and has made lily's theme more popular than hedwigs theme which is the main opening piece that has featured in every movie.he's the man for film music.

  • excellent series all around.

  • beautiful. sweet memories. sad its over:(

  • it sounds like the music that is played when cho and harry kiss.

  • great soundtrack. and thank you for reprising the iconic john williams themes for the last movie

  • In Tears

  • AMAZING...

  • what the heck kinda flute is that?! 0:43

  • @welcome2thep00pwagon Those are bass flutes, they produce a much lower sound than normal flutes do.

  • @7SingerGirl7 *contrabass lol my bad

  • Definitely is the first instrumental music that makes me mourn ... and want to return time, so they do not finish Harry Potter! By the way, as the name of the soundtrack?

  • A new beginning

  • "The Kiss" by Nicolas Hooper (ending music)

  • Alexandre Desplat has been my favorite composer of soundtracks for a long time and when I found out he would be do the last 2 harry potter films, i Passed out on the floor and started crying tears of JOY

  • oh my god BEAUTIFUL. This one is on the scene where the 3 of them just stood and they look at you like saying goodbye. but this is like hugging someone. no need for words.

  • the music in this movie was...amazing. i loved this one and courtyard apacolypse.. amazing. this song was one of the very last scenes. makes me cry haha

  • Honestly Alexandre is pure genius!!! I love his music!!! It gives me goosebumps and makes me cry!! HP DH 2 couldn't of had a better man for the job!!! :D <3 Loved every aspect of the movie!! I feel that the music evokes the emotion of it all perfectly <3 Thank you x 1000000000000!

  • Wish I could've seen the celesta player

  • That's "A new beginning"

  • @anitrafgo There's a difference between watching a "leaked" version and actually seeing it in person, at the theater, with the audience into the movie. I highly prefer the later.

  • @DanielPTchannel I may be weird for saying this, but I actually think he did a better job than John Williams would have done for this film. To me, the music fits perfectly. I have yet to see the movie (going on Sunday night), and you better believe I will be on the edge of my seat...with tissues in hand.

  • @jfluter: I completely agree with you! This is the soundtrack I'm definitely going to get. Also, wasn't it rumored John Williams pretty much "plagiarized" a lot of classical composers?

  • @dissonantchord Maybe he did. I don't know. I've always suspected that he created the "Jaws" theme from the 4th movement of the Dvorak 9 Symphony. However, if you study music history, you will find that MANY composers have used ideas, or were possibly strongly influenced by other composers.

  • @jfluter Yeah, there was A LOT of rumours that stated that he did. But yes, Dvorak's symphony, I've heard that was one of the cases. Whether he did it or not, I guess it's mainly an influence, even sometimes I find my compositions somehow end up sounding like a song or tune I've heard before.

  • @jfluter I couldn't agree more. I absolutely loved John Williams' music in the first three movies as he made those films so magical and stuff, THOUGH his scores were incredibly repetetive, which would be unforgivable to do the same thing for Deathly Hallows.

  • @jfluter why must we always Pick whos better, wouldnt it be better if we just say that they both did Awesomely for the wonderful world with wich we love, that they were equal in bringing an awesome piece of emotions into our favorite world with wich we must depart, as in the matter that it has ended even though the wonderful essence of it lingers on with us.we must acknowledge all three composers for the marvelous work they brought to the wonderful world of harry potter.

  • @jfluter NOO john williams FTW

  • WOW!!!!! Alto flutes!!!! Yay!!!!!

  • this is the last song that will play in harry potter!! :'( you can see the train fading in the screen...

  • @hematthews1 this actually plays before the epilogue, and surprisingly SPOILER the John Williams ending for sorcerer's stone was used for the epilogue scene although I had no problem with it.

  • Wouldn't it have been epic if they'd gotten the guy who did "How To Train Your Dragon"?

  • Well, I could say sth on the account of some coments, if you listen carefully to the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince soundtrack made by Nicholas Hooper you would be able to recognise the tune..(check out Harry Potter V End Credits Soundtrack [part 2] from 4:57) I would like to think this is the connection that Alexandre Desplat mentions that he has with the Hooper's soundtrack :) So I slightly disagree with some people, I love Desplat but I love Hooper even more..

  • His music is simply amazing !

    One word : listen..

  • Statues and Obliviate are my favourite songs

  • Desplat was the best thing tht happened to HP DH films

  • this is the soundtrack in the epilogue

  • @tommytopspin

    False.

  • whoever are able to invent any movie soundtracks which suit with the movies.. are pure genius..

    thank you Alexandre Desplat! :)

  • "Daddy, what if I get into Slytherin?" - Albus S. Potter.

  • which song is this?

  • @yesrelationthesequel A New Beginning

  • Voldemort could not find the strength to dislike this.

  • No dislikes, This must be awesome... Oh wait IT IS !!!

  • the best composer in the series after Williams...

he just melt my heart and.....and make my cry, i dont know what would i do in theater when this music come and finally we have to believe that our favorite harry potter is now end :(

  • I think at 1:00 ron and hermione kiss

  • @SirTimothyMarton

Great point. I think it's easy to get too nostalgic about these things. Desplat was the right man for the Deathly Hallows.

  • Brilliant.

  • Many of us were astonished that the Harry Potter movie had been already leaked. We all saw the whole thing at watch harry potter. us (no spaces)

  • We all were absolutely pleased that the new HP7 movie had been already leaked. We saw the whole thing at watchharrypotter . us

  • Anyone else think this sounds exactly like "The Kiss" from HP5?!?

Alexandre said it would be a surprise whether or not he would use a theme by Nicholas Hooper, so I think this is it!

  • I think every Harry Potter fan that's accompanied this series (book and film) should listen to this by themselves, alone, and remember the good moments HP gave him or her when he was younger. There's something very poingnant about tons of HP fans listening to this, alone, in their bedrooms, taking a break from their lives, all of them coming to grips that this part of their lives has come to an end. I know I do, and wonder what others are going through...

  • I am not sure where this is in the film(and at the moment i don't want to know), but this sounds beautiful as well as phenomenal.

  • I know a lot of people are saying it's in the epilogue, I think it might even be in kings cross? It just looks like Harry falls through a cloud or something 0:21 ??

Like a lot of people have also said that leaving Hogwarts is in the epilogue and it would sorta make sense calling this a new beginning as it's sort of like a new beginning for Harry after he talks to Dumbledore?

  • Comment removed

  • hopefully i could play a violin!!!

  • am i the only one trying desperately to see whats on the screen in front of him at like 0:21 for example? it looks like this is the theme just after the final duel but before the epilogue

  • These musicians are incredibly privileged to be a part of this. But I'm sure they know that, or will soon realize it.

  • Its called "A New Beginning - 01:39 "

therefore its def at the epilogue

  • @kedar1115 Well most of us now know its Leaving Hogwarts at the epilogue, been confirmed like 2 weeks before it came out

  • Epilogue?

  • @domo641 That's what I'm thinking.

  • @domo641 No, it's before of the epilogue. In the epilogue it's been confirmed that Leaving Hogwarts is used.

  • And Twilight fans don't like his music....God what retards...

  • i have been waiting for the soundtrack more than the movie and i have say the soundtrack is BRILLIANT! Desplat must be a blessing! I love the music!

  • I'm about 99% sure that this is the song that will play during the epilogue :')

  • We cannot believe the fact that the new Harry Potter movie was put online this early on! I found it at watchharrypotter.us.

  • Did anybody else capture that glimpse of the movie? That's probably where it will appear. Le-dur.

  • oh my goodness... I'm so overwhelmed with emotion. Not only do I have chills, feel like crying, and feel the very difficult task of trying to keep myself together while i listen to it, but I'm so grateful to hear something so beautiful. I really can't wait to hear the rest of the soundtrack! I may have to buy this one... Thank you Mr. Desplat for such a beautiful piece of music. <3

  • THIS IS THE SONG THEY ARE PLAYING AT THE VERY END! its called "A New Beginning"

  • @notmyfaultimabitch no i thought so too but actually they play this right before the epilogue when the trio is on the bridge after voldemort's death. leaving hogwarts(an alexandre desplat version) plays during the epilogue.

  • what song is this? lilys theme? its so beautiful... if they play this at the end i dont know what ill do...

  • this gave me chills...

  • Pure poetry

  • It's so beautiful!!!

  • @DanielPTchannel I just want to say "thank you, Jo' Rowling." =P

  • I can't wait to hear this whole album! Thank you Alexandre Desplat for making such beautiful music!

  • before anyone says anything - Hedwigs theme is in the film

  • He should win the Academy Award this year- it's long overdue for him (he did The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The King's Speech, and other nominated scores), and Potter.

  • And people doubted this great man after Part 1, they probably feel pretty stupid now

  • I closed my eyes and pictured this scene in my head..... Halfway through I'm already crying my eyes out. Such as beautiful piece. Thank you Mr. Desplat. Thank you.

  • Alaxandre gave the deathly hallows the dark yet, sensitive side it required to end this amazing franchise of movies.

  • I never tought after John Williams ANY conductor would do HP justice as much as he did but this guy AMAZING Im so glad he came back for Part 2 as much as it would have been good to see john williams back but in a way Im glad this guy came back Part 1 and Part 2 I look at them as ONE movie a 4 and a half hour long movie changing musical; style between it would be just wierd

  • He is.. amazing.

  • The most beautiful piece I ever seen/heard in my life (besides John William's Hedwig's Theme).
