As for a sealed record my juvenile record is sealed, but when I had done my time and paid my fines I was told I had to register for 10 years. Five years later I went to college and earned two degrees and the ten years had expired. I was not told that you must continue to register until you petition to get off the list so I failed to register and got nailed when I moved LOL.
This is sad. I also heard recently about a woman who years ago was put on the registry at the time she was 17 and he was a few weeks from his 16th birthday. That still follows her today about living near schools and things.
I think they should review cases like this on an individual basis to remove them from the list. I certainly don't agree with people who target minors to sleep with but if this was one mistake he shouldn't be kept from his child.

They have changed the age of consent to 18 in a number of states now and everyone realizes that many girls are having sex willingly long before that. i know how you can reclaim your freedom and get your life back! All you have to do is get a passport and move out of the country. This will not be easy since most countries dont let "felons" immigrate. But some do, Mexico, Spain, Argentina, Costa Rica, Peru, and Barbados just to name a few. If you go to one of those countries, learn the language, establish a new life, and get a job, you can start with a clean slate and be a free man once again.
Another thing you could maybe do is get a bunch of people that are on your side and take then to court with you and apply for a pardon. This happened with my youth leader. He applied for a pardon to erase his many counts of robbery and grand theft auto and now he has been able to get a job and he is clean again. This may be one of the best choices for this. I hope this helped a lot :)

Im going through A very similar situation, (FL). State legislature needs to be fixed in more states than one. My judge even went to the length to have it transcibed that he is not allowed to see these cases on an individual basis and that he wishes he could help knowing that i was in a consenting young relationship.

Try and register with some Temp agencies. My employer didn't do a background check. My probation officer and the local police know where I work. I am 32 yrs old now, but more than 14 years ago I was convicted of sexual assault when I was 18. The girl was 14. I have struggled these whole 14 yrs and put on that god damn list of predators! It's hard man.

Im going through A very similar situation, (FL). State legislature needs to be fixed in more states than one. My judge even went to the length to have it transcibed that he is not allowed to see these cases on an individual basis and that he wishes he could help knowing that i was in a consenting young relationship.

this is my loving son he was tricked by the police they told the girls parnets james would not have to spend time in jail because they knew the girl lied and snuck out of the house and to meet james and sam his best friend and the police lied to the parents of the lil girl and they told him all he would get is probation if there is anybody that knows a lawyer that could help my son that doesnt cost a fortune or that could do it probno could you please help my son he was only 18 when this happend

I am not advocating this as it would be breaking the law, many laws in fact. But I suppose one could use an anynomus pre paid cell phone to send picuters of underage girls to the judges and prosecutors phones and then call the cops and report them for possesion of child pornography

P.S. Were you informed of something called "Jury Nullification?" A jury has the power to nullify a law if that law is unjust. You probably weren't told that by your lawyer or the judge. Seems to be that in your case, the law doesn't fit the crime. Check it out on the internet.

You aught to talk to a lawyer, when she turns 18 sue her for fraud, sue her for intentional infliction of emotional distress, sue her for loss of income - over and over and over again. Even if you lose she'll wind up spending all her money defending against the lawsuits

these girls that lie should be accountable for their actions and the damage they cause. You can't sue over and over. Once a judge rules on a case or dismisses a case it can not be revisited. I would be fun but you can get in trouble for frying to abuse the court system.

Groups around the US are working for reform of sex offender laws that are better politicis than policy. My son was in a legal chat room and agreed to consensual sex with an undercover detective who portrayed her age as anywhere between 19 and "16 in a month or two." Even though he didn't go to the meeting place, he is incarerated and will have to register as a sex offender. He is no risk to any child. We will never stop fighting against this "Salem Witch Hunt."

Never give up bro. Like you I got caught up with a female that lied about her age. But I was 33 and she was 15. Recently I was out of work for over a year and just found a short term contract job. Try and register with some Temp agencies. My employer didn't do a background check. My probation officer and the local police know where I work. It will take 10 times the effort for you to find work but you will if you stay persistent and consistent. God will reward you for tenacity.
