Man, this is why I LOVE these old Norman Lear shows. They didn't pull any punches. Yeah, Fred used the "N-word", but so what? I think George Jefferson used more than anyone else in TV history. James Evans (Good Times) even used it once or twice. Archie Bunker used damn near every racial epithet known to man. The Norman Lear shows KEPT IT REAL That's why these shows are so popular 30 and 40 years later!
