@BlackIndigenousPosse I wouldn't expect you to know what a complicated word like per capita means. Look at the sheer population difference. Australia has 22m people, the US has 312m, so I would hope that the totals wouldn't be higher for Australia. Per capita murder and violent crime are both higher in Australia. You say the Us has 4x higher # of murders, but we have 14x the population. So when you break it down by proportion, Australia is WAY higher than the US.
@BlackIndigenousPosse No you don't have to prepare for life here with firearms, I don't expect that I will ever have to use mine on a person. I was just saying that I do have them in the event I need them. And I get it, you are Australian, congratulations. Also, I looked up the facts and Australia has a MUCH higher murder rate per capita than the US, so your argument is invalid.
@BlackIndigenousPosse It isn't paranoya as much as preparedness. I keep fire extinguishers in my house not because I am paranoid, but because I am prepared. The same ideology applies to my firearms.
@tebbsd - Thanks a lot!! I just instinctively planted a broad head into my computer screen!! haha Great footage, thanks for sharing. What is the song?
@RratsArtStudio -ur an ignorant fool. A very close family friend was mugged a few years back. Guess what? She was carrying a pistol and shot that bastard dead. Who knows maybe he only wanted the purse, or maybe he wanted to rape my friend and kill her leaving her kids without a mother? Please keep your moronic statements to yourself. Why are you watching elk hunting anyway?
great video i think all kids of all ages should have a chance to expeirnce the wild gives them a chance to know what elk hunting is all about ive been hunting elk since i was like 4 years old nothing wrong about taking your kids hunting its the way it should be
When someone enters your home and threatens your family, remember your comments! Will you wish you had a gun? You probably think you can be diplomatic and talk through the situation with the person threatening your family's life! He could care less about being diplomatic! You and your family are dead, because you can't defend yourself, or your family. I can defend my family! Chances are, the intruder will die! In fact, he probably will stay clear of my house knowing I have a nice arsenal!
@Research0digo oh now, it was amazing. The animals are harmless, he thought we were another elk, and approached us very cautiously. Their mom loves the video too. We have been together 18 years, and love being in the outdoors with the kids.
Nice bull. Look at my channel, you will see good asiatic Elk bulls, we call it marals. Your are so right when you say : get to the hills with your kids. I have 2 daughter / 2 boys, all of them are hunters. It is quite easy for me, i am professional hunter.
@Research0digo You are trully lacking any knowlege of elk....I have been around elk my whole life and they are by far the hardest animal to get close to that is if they know you are there... go back to the city videos and leave us country folk to our passion.
whoa whoa whoa downjones72 do you know who sings this song? Show some respect for the great Chris LeDoux. and Copenhagensmile02, I'm Wyoming born and bred as well. Powder River!... Let Er Buck!!!
Nice! I've been lucky enough to have my son in the woods a couple of times hunting with me when bulls have come in bugling away. Closest was about 10 yards. A great experience and beautiful animals.
The Elk have quit Bugeling in our area because of the Wolves, if that isn't sad I don't know what is. It is like Mountains themselves hate the Wolf, the only song you hear is the Song of Death, the mournful howl of the Hated Wolf.
Great video, and you couldn't have picked a better song. And kudos to you for teaching your kids to "be wild." My dad did the same for me when I was young and I couldn't thank him enough. It's people like you and your kids that give those who appreciate the outdoors a future. :)
Here here!. My boys setting right beside me as we watch this video. I cant really say I had much of a childhood with my dad, but I can say that my kids will receive everything I missed out on, which includes, hunting, fishing and just plain old experiencing the outdoors. That elk is beautiful. I saw a pair that size this year on our hunt, but running away at 200+ yards..Needless to say I didn't see them for long. :)
300 inch, that is what I would give that, awesome sword tines. his fishtail is weak, I would have passed him up, unless it was the last day and the sun was going down. g-1,2 are short, but all together good footage.
thats not nessicerly a monster its just a normal sized mature bull elk, and i dont think he wouldeve attacked him "Cocoshimo"(COMMENTOR) elks bugle like that high pitched noise and cows mew
me and my dad called one in that big during the 1st elk hunt this year 11-16-08, but by the time we identified that it was a bull it had left.We didnt find him after that,we know exactly were he hangs out though, next year i hop to finally shot my first animal.
Back at the beginnin'of the '80s DFWD was plannin' on reintroducin' elks to the LaSal Mountains, i wonder if they did and were successful, anybody from utah know anything? 5 stars for that beautiful Bull Elk!
I don't hunt to kill. Because I hunt I do indeed kill. But I don't kill what I don't eat and I sure won't kill something just to "get the biggest". In fact, the best eating is from the smaller sized animals. I enjoy the hunt and have hunted for my entire adult life which is more than half over.
no its not tree hugger... if people didnt hunt there could be to much animals for the habitat and theyd die because humans are always cutting down trees. also those animals live free lives where the animals we buy dont so poeple quit bitching when people hunt!

Nice 350 to 360" bull. He loses allot of points of his score because his first three points. Nice footage though man. Keep up the good bugling and camera work. This looks like Colorado or maybe New Mexico. Em i right?
Dang sure is beautiful. It sure makes it nice when you can get out and see something like this and share it with a younger generation. Catch the fever man. pass it on. I don't think there is anything that can give you the kind of high you get from calling in an animal to 10 yards from you. What a rush
Nice bull , where was this filmed at ??? I go to Benezette ,Pa have a few videos that I shot. Wouldn't say it was a monster elk but it does have a very nice spread.
Something that I don't understand is, all this anti hunting people go out and say that it's bad to kill animals, yet wolves kill them all the time and that's ok because it's part of nature. Wait...Humans are cretures too, so why are they the only ones not allowed to kill and eat things?
Because of their idiotic morality. I'd just as soon hunt them. They would probably squeal more anyway...The gene pool is stagnant and I'm the minister of chlorine.
no i am a hunter who is aggravated at people like this guy... all anti hunters see is people like this and they try to get laws changed so that us hunters cannot enjoy harvesting an animal and being in the outdoors.
'Could do with out the music, but it's a lovely elk. How great that the kids get to see this magnificent animal. They are so majestic. I will never forget the first time I got to see one in the wild, in Oregon.
nice, but he isn't a monster. I have a bigger one hanging in my living room. 300 pt is nice, but not big. I do wish more people got out and respected the outdoors.
What I love is I go to a liberal college and throw parties. NO one and I mean NO one does anything but say wow. Maybe it is because deep down face to face everyone knows that humans are meant to eat meat.
Incredible!!! How cool for your kids to see. Last year we called in a big 5 point to about 25 feet. and the year before that a 4 point bull to 15 feet (I just happened to have a bow in my hand and a tag in my pocket that time!!) Now I see that bull everyday.
wtf i thought the first elk he was looking at was the monster but hell then that think popped out dang nice elk i never went elk hunting but i want to with my cousins in wyoming they get some big ones there one of them almost broke the record and it was huge he mounted it on his wall and it takes the whole wall up...............
you cant say that hunters just hunt for something to kill,we hunt for food, the reason hunting is allowed is because if people didn't hunt, the animal would become over populated and die from diseases, you shouldn't frown upon it, because its done for a good reason.the only thing thats killing animals like this is the greedy city people destroying their habitat to make more room for shopping malls and all that bullshit
hunters hunt for sport, to put a head on their wall. The only time a problem like the one you describe occurs is when an important part of the ecosystem is destroyed or lacking... for instance, when hunters kill to much..
i have to disagree sorry, yes we do hunt for sport because its fun but everything i shoot,i eat,(deer wise). Anything from the deer family is over populated, they are dieing from diseases and loss of habitat, and if we dont hunt, you will find a moose in your backyard one day, hunting needs to happen,
You got that spot on. The disease known as "Blue Tongue" is currently ravaging the deer population in Tennessee. Why? Because there are so many here that it's spreading like wildfire. They actually had a rule this year that in TN we could shoot three does a day and the population would hardly suffer. If you go to Reelfoot Lake close to Weakley Co. TN you can see how the vegetation there's been totally stripped by overpopulation.
darn i havent heard of that "blue tongue" disease before, do u think it will affect the meat and hurt/kill humans if we are eating the deer that have it? fuck i hope we dont get that where im from cause I live to hunt, thanks alot for your comment tho man
wow another fucking latte drinking tree hugger pail fed city whore, would u rather see deer lying dead on the side of the roads becasue they were killed by diseases? and it all could be prevneted if more people hunted, dont preach about what you dont know...
duckilinglover, I live in Alberta Canada, and we have too many moose in some areas. There were so many in one of our fav hunting areas that they became heavily infested with ticks, and almost all of them died. It was a real shame. Up here in Canada hunting really is important for ungulate population management. There are a lot of disease issues related to overpopulation. Right now the big scare is about Chronic Wasting Disease. lots of biologists also hunt!
I've been hunting all my life and it is just a bond with nature, besides there is a huge over population of elk and deer, Hunters just help thin them.. :D
Hunters please don't hunt for sport please do it for food, clothing, anyting that's useful for humans not for fun so they are put to use in a good way. Just my opinion but everyone can do what they want.
@BlackIndigenousPosse I wouldn't expect you to know what a complicated word like per capita means. Look at the sheer population difference. nice, but he isn't a monster.

Last year we called in a big 5 point to about 25 feet. and the year before that a 4 point bull to 15 feet (I just happened to have a bow in my hand and a tag in my pocket that time!!) Now I see that bull everyday.

you cant say that hunters just hunt for something to kill,we hunt for food, the reason hunting is allowed is because if people didn't hunt, the animal would become over populated and die from diseases, you shouldn't frown upon it, because its done for a good reason.the only thing thats killing animals like this is the greedy city people destroying their habitat to make more room for shopping malls and all that bullshit
countryboy54654 3 years ago 9
hunters hunt for sport, to put a head on their wall. The only time a problem like the one you describe occurs is when an important part of the ecosystem is destroyed or lacking... for instance, when hunters kill to much..
holyadvocate 3 years ago
i have to disagree sorry, yes we do hunt for sport because its fun but everything i shoot,i eat,(deer wise). Anything from the deer family is over populated, they are dieing from diseases and loss of habitat, and if we dont hunt, you will find a moose in your backyard one day, hunting needs to happen,
countryboy54654 3 years ago
You got that spot on. The disease known as "Blue Tongue" is currently ravaging the deer population in Tennessee. Why? Because there are so many here that it's spreading like wildfire. They actually had a rule this year that in TN we could shoot three does a day and the population would hardly suffer. If you go to Reelfoot Lake close to Weakley Co. TN you can see how the vegetation there's been totally stripped by overpopulation.
CamFlame18 3 years ago
darn i havent heard of that "blue tongue" disease before, do u think it will affect the meat and hurt/kill humans if we are eating the deer that have it? fuck i hope we dont get that where im from cause I live to hunt, thanks alot for your comment tho man
countryboy54654 3 years ago
i beg to dis agree, i think hunting needs to stop. and i wouldnt mind finding a moose in my backyard.
duckilinglover 3 years ago
wow another fucking latte drinking tree hugger pail fed city whore, would u rather see deer lying dead on the side of the roads becasue they were killed by diseases? and it all could be prevneted if more people hunted, dont preach about what you dont know...
countryboy54654 3 years ago
I dont like latte's country boy. wow proves what you know.

nice response u moron
countryboy54654 3 years ago

duckilinglover 3 years ago
duckilinglover, I live in Alberta Canada, and we have too many moose in some areas.

dingdongdufus14 3 years ago 4
Hunters please don't hunt for sport please do it for food, clothing, anyting that's useful for humans not for fun so they are put to use in a good way. Just my opinion but everyone can do what they want.
