Omg. I just got my classes parts back, and I'm sour kangaroo! I'm sort of excited, but I'm also sad because I wanted Gertrude, but she doesn't even life the musical, and doesn't really care. Oh well, all's well that ends well. I just wish she appreciated her part more...

We're doing this school at my school and I think this one was really good but my only comment is that I think that the Sour Kangaroo rushed her lines a little. She was ahead of the music a few times.

@RyTheWeirdo I feel like Mayzie has more parts, but they're both on about the same level. However you should focus less on which part is bigger, and focus moreso on which part is better for you! Aim for a part you think you could fit well with your voice or personality , or at least a part that you think you would more ENJOY performing. Never shoot for a particular part based solely on its size or importance. Does that make sense?

it seems like the Junior version since they are using a CD accompaniment...although I noticed they used the General ready for war line in the opening number which is not in the junior

@ictenor The score for this musical is INCREDIBLY hard, not to mention that most of the noises and sounds in it are unique. My school uses CDs for some of our musicals too. If this is a high school, I would use the CD too, because we usually just have some of our students in the pit, but they couldn't play this.

Oh, it's not meant to sound rude, I'm just saying. I have just the piano score for it, and even that freaks me out, haha.

no offense, but your costumes were a bit lacking. i mean, at least give your grinch a red coat. and horton gray sweats, they're simple!!! but the actual acting was really good, which is what matters in the long run.

Zach? (you're the guy posting this) Woah you have a lovely voice.... the first time you sing we hear your nerves but once you're going it's brilliant.

The Kangeroo is FANTASIC! She has real power and prescence.

The monkeys are a bit week.

I think most of the leads seem great... the ensemble is week (but you can't expect everyone in a school production to be brilliant)

Oh that's cool, my Children's theater class is doing the Seussical for young audiences edition. It's basically like the original, only take out the military scenes and characters.

@Techdude9856 Excuse me? Cut anything how? There were just a couple of scenes that we didn't use, and I'm pretty sure they were aware of that because we had them cut out the parts we weren't using FOR us so that we wouldn't have to edit the music ourselves.

@Techdude9856 - u can cut scenes out, it is not illeagle, they brought the rights for the show, they have the license to cut anything they want to. its illigeal if you add anything you DONT have the rights for. do your reseach before your blow your lid off on the wed and embarace urself.

Just to clarify (even though this is ancient), it's 100% legal to cut anything out of the script. You can get sued if you add anything.
