I wouldn't WPA Personal, there are hacks for it! Use WPA2....

Excellent!!!!!! I was also able to transfer you instructions and change the name of my network!

Note to self: If/when I change the name of the network and/or the password, suddenly Safari can't find it and I'm disconnected. Have to go into Preferences and choose the network again.

why is it when i type 192.168.1.1 on my address bar the setting for my isp will pop up not the lynksis one? thats why im really having a hard time with this

Yes you can but each one has a different IP address used for the administrative site.

(I.E.)

Linksys - 192.168.1.1

Dlink - 192.168.0.1

It should work with MAC OS 10.3.9

It will work with the PSP. If it doesn't work you can always return the router to the store.

name: admin, administrator, or user ( o yeah don't forget the option to leave it blank)

password: admin, administrator, leave it blank, user, password, or pass

try different combinations of those

When I enter in the IP address it asks me not just for a password but also a name. Just doing "admin" doesn't work w/o a name, trying "linksys" for a name and "admin" for a password doesn't work either. Any advice?

I think wpa2 requires a longer password. It's harder to crack but I don't want to remember something that long.

Thank you immensely for this tutorial. Is there a difference between WPA and WPA2? Any benefits of using TKIP over the AES thingy? I just got a linksys unit today and without this video I would've been completely in the dark.
