  • much bigger....of course Beijing is better for sure

  • @Clockcutter Seems like you never heard of biased Western media, how foolish of you. Judging by the thousand times named up statement by you, I can see how much your knowledge is of this subject.

Have you ever been to Tibet yourself, actually? I bet you haven't. Well, before you even dare to answer that question with a 'yes', you have no right to take part in political discussions around this subject.

  • Peking Man is better... Homo erectus!

  • bullshit! guys from southern part are wayyyyyy better. u r interviewing in north, of course ppl would say northern men r good.

  • The guy at the end with the tea did not say "You're taller than me!" He said, "My son is the same height as you!" in Cantonese.

  • @zephry221 hahaha in chinese thats an insult that usually translates to f*** you

  • This jewish girl rules~!!

  • I met a french dude on my way to "the Peak", Hong Kong (the highest point in Hong Kong), he was telling me how Hong Kong was like heaven to him lol now that he actually seen the cit for first time, he have been living and working in Beijing for the past 5 years.

Beijing is nice, but it's way less developed than Hong Kong, you get pretty tired once the exotic Chinese cultural sensations runs out after awhile and you have to deal with daily living there, feels like the *mainland*.

  • WAHAHAHA, she kissed the little old man!

Su Fei is so bold, so funny x))

I think it's true, I've found Northern men are more manly in an Alpha-male way, have bold outspoken personalities, like to dominate, bigger frames with broader shoulders etc...I like those qualities ehehehe <3

  • best way to explain is a mixture of korean (the build) and western type mixed

  • hot guy lol (beijing)

i was watching fei chen wu rao a matchmaking show thing on jiangsu tv beijing guys are hot lol (in general from the total guys)

  • In the good old days, the security bureau would've arrested this Sufei girl and put her into re-education camp for her "promotion of decadent western ideas".

But of course in the good old days this "Sufei" would'nt have even been in China in the first place!

  • @WinsterG You mean between Hong Kong and Taiwan? That's just because Cantonese originated from the neighbouring Guangdon province, while in Taiwan they speak Chinese Mandarin or Taiwanese, which is basicly Chinese Hakka. Chinese Mandarin is also one of the official languages in Hong Kong SAR.

  • the men in Hong Kong are SHORT!!!!

  • @ThatGmoney go to 7:20, that hong kong guy is like 6'3. The average height in hong kong is 5'8 which is not short.

  • she always like interview ugly people :(

  • this guys is idiot.. we are more english style and how can you be traditional at the same type what an idiot seriously i wasn't born in china but my grandpa was one day i will go to china..

  • what about Shang Hai?

  • Hong Kong for sure, better climate, by the ocean, tropical beaches, best sky line in the world, best shopping malls, no oppressive government, amazing night life etc.! I'd love to live in Hong Kong, but it's so far away and I don't speak too much Cantonese...

  • I don't know Beijing but Hong Kong is very SEXY! I'm going there to study soooon. Can't wait!!!

  • this is all about gentle and the beast.

  • One thing is for sure, Chinese men are getting more and more attention from all women from all countries, this is good.

  • I only clicked on this because the thumbnail image link looked like a tattooed penis.

  • 胡说呀,应该他的性格,如果人好就可以。。

  • 9:15 HE SAID: "my son is as all as she is!" maybe the son is a better match for su fei!

  • this is random BUT.. i've nothing against shanghainese people but many of my relatives and friends always complain how stingy shanghai people are. Of course I can't go around generalizing all shanghai people to be like that, but what is it that makes alot of people think this way?

  • 0:32 real Cantonese accent. 0:34, she sounded so American there.

  • Has anyone noticed the guy at 2:30? He's really cute. And, he says: wo niang instead of wo ma when he refers to his mother. Kind of strange in the modern era.

  • @OWLofATHENS HAHA! that was the first thing i noticed too.

  • @OWLofATHENS agreed ^^ it IS weird that he uses 'niang'... I've never heard that except in period dramas lol

  • dang! She speaks GOOD Mandarin

  • Everyone shut the fuck up, go argue about politics somewhere else. This is an episode of Sexy Beijing, it's as far as you can get from these bullshit political issues, don't ruin it.

  • If China hadn't freed the Tibetans of these horrored monsters, Tibet still would be in a society just like in the Dark Ages. The average lifetime of Tibetans, the rural areas, environment and other positive dempgraphic points increased dramaticly. So you better reverse your last sentence to yourself, retard. Sigh again one with a lack of intelligence brain-washed by the biased western media.

  • @FarewelI Oh, yes. The Chinese freed the Tibetans by destroying their culture. They imported Chinese speakers into Tibet and demanded by the force of law and violence that Tibetans speak Chinese. They razed and scarred their religious monasteries. Here's the question. Why can't you just let the Tibetans live as they wish to live?? Why must you demand they live in a way you approve? Why do you wish to control other human beings through violence?? People like you are scourge of the planet.

  • @FarewelI Everything you say there are patently thin rationalizations for forcing other people to live as you think they should through violence. You never answered my question. Why can't you just let them live as they wish? Why must you force them to live as you wish through violence? You're the one brain-washed by the real experts of propaganda: the Chinese Communist party. Anyone who buys communist party crap these days is a slave.

  • @pandapatrol26 If you mean that the government has liberated and freed the bourgeoisie of the Tibetans of their tradition of being slaves of the slavery owners, like some of the root of the Dalai Lama's family, then yes. It was very common among the Tibetan spiritual leaders to punish their people like burning them, peeling the skin off while the person's still alive, chopping limbs etc.

  • shanghai wins.

  • That idiotic action of obama selling weapon arms to Taiwan and meeting that devil directly sent from the hell called the dalai lama, won't do any good for this relationship.. Ok, anyways although I'm a southern Chinese, I think Beijing men are better, they are more gently, cute, masculine etc. >__> ok those weren't the best reasons, but I can't explain it properly...

  • I'm half Taiwanese and half from Hong Kong, but still consider myself as a full Chinese, because we're just one nation, one language, one pride and we share the same culture. In fact, many people in Taiwan consider them as Chinese, well tbh I think the majority are for the status quo situation, but one day, I hope we can have a social reunification. We all know it's beneficial to both side of the cross-strait.

  • @FarewelI Great Comment Farewell. We are all Chinese and our roots run back through 5000 years of written history. We shouldn't a mere 50 years break this bond.

Mainlanders and CCP needs stop with the threats and some Taiwanese should let go of their superiority complex about How they are too good for China.

  • @FarewelI I'm half Taiwanese and half Hong Konger too! ^^

  • @FarewelI Taiwanese people are ethnically Chinese. Your ancestors are from China... unless they are aboriginal Taiwanese (in which case they look South East Asian)

  • @RapidEyesCream hmm... im pretty sure she knows that, since she has a Taiwanese parent!

  • @FarewelI there are 2 languages though...

  • LOL love this parody of Sex and the City

    y'all know canto>>>mando

    get it right B]

  • great :)

  • I was quite amused when one of the salesman mentioned how Hongkong people celebrate Spring Festival in a more traditional manner, and, at the same time, pointed at Mickey Mouse couplets~

No offense to anyone, I just wished they could make a better judgment when having the substantial knowledge about what they are commenting on.

  • gosh people, may you plz just stop arguing with one another.... maybe take a few peaceful moments, so you can enjoy the funny bits of the little show?....

  • sufei at times can look so sexy....

  • her glasses are awful..

  • Interesting videso , I love them.

BTW, I strongly suggest sexybeijing to visit Taiwan to experience differnt chinese culture! :-)

  • @xocial sadly a lot of people in taiwan don't consider them chinese... they speak the same language and share the same tradition

how sad is that for a nation?

  • yes, 54% of them.

  • More telling is the average height of the most recent generation.

For HK, I think it is about 175 cm, about 5' 9", for men in their 20's. Only 4-5 cm less than US average today. In the US Civic war, the average for male was 5' 7" .

I think in many mainland cities it is about the same.

Malnutrition has been a big factor. Many third-world people are small because of poor nutrition.

The Asian diet has been traditionally too low in calcium and other growth minerals.

  • I don't prefer any of those two, because of course I love all cities of China. One day I hope I can study in China *_*

  • I love celebrating Chinese New Year in Hong Kong! Cantonese also trumps Mandarin ;)

  • One thing I notice about the Chinese is the low divorce rate.

They will do ANYTHING in their power to give their children a proper family. But some of them are pretty selfish as well, so it depends.

My mother told me that its part of the ancient Chinese tradition to keep a family together for as long as you can, unless you really really cant stand your spouse anymore. (abuse, infidelity, etc)

But that's decades ago, modern Chinese are pretty divorce crazy nowadays.

  • my mums that type u mentioned...very unselfish because she feels divorce easily jsut because u want to is bad for children under 21 years or not independent yet (im independent now and moved out). but now shes like happy lol cos mainly i think im the problem

however a lof of chinese nowdays divorce a lot..selfish as hell

  • 纯朴的老百姓啊,该死的政治。

  • Why does she start speaking English in Hong Kong?

  • Guess she can't speak Cantonese.

  • HK people generally speak English very well, because HK used to be British, whereas as she speaks Mandarin, she uses that in China.

    因为有很多的会说英文得很好的香港人,因为香港十三年以前英国的。因为她会说普通话所以他在中国用普通话。

  • the last old man actually say " my son is as tall as you"

  • is there any racism/national supremacy issues in BJ, shanghai or HK ? I know japan has few of these traits but i was wondering if china is the same ? Also, which city do you think is the nicest ?

  • I feel like people from metro cities do have some prejudice on the poors. It's not kinda racism or national supremacy, but simply due to an asshole feeling of being superior to sb else. Lu Xun the great writer discussed a lot of this in his works.

I am from Guangzhou (Canton), I love my city of course :) other than Guangzhou I would say Qingdao, an offshore city.

  • u wouldnt want to compare hong kong women to theose beijing women. its 158cm v 167cm lmao.

  • beijing or hong kong? the answer is shanghai.

  • shanghai is so shit man~

    all women bitchy

    all men gay!!!

  • Anyone share the opinion that the girls hairstyle at 6:20m its shaved on the sides or its just pulled back?? :)

  • Beijing people are better...until they open their mouth. I'm from Taiwan so naturally I have a distaste for the weird Beijing accent, where they add a "兒" to every single word! And I think some people are misinformed. Beijing Mandarin is NOT Standard Mandarin. The latter is based on the former, but much more pleasing to the ear.

  • HKers are really nice and they are more intune with Chinese traditions than the Mainlanders. However, they remind me of everything that is wrong in the developed and modern Chinese socities not just in HK but in Taiwan as well. They can be really fake, high maintenance and materialistic. I guess that just comes with better socioeconomic conditions. The rich cities in Mainland like Shanghai or even Beijing are starting to be like that as well.

  • what srsly? the HK i went to was nothing traditional. most of the people i saw were as you said, fake, high maintenance, and materialistic. but i like the shopping there ahaha.

  • i miss china after this vid.lol lol

  • im from hong kong, but i prefer beijing... really lov the place

hk is just getting worse, and the weather is not as good as beijing

but apparently there are HK ppl who dont like mainland chinese.....i think those ppl are just losers.

  • i completely agree with you, i was young and ignorant to not like mainland chinese, but now i thought i was just a loser to hate people.

i hope more people in hongkong could learn to respect each other's differences.

  • i respect the china culture but they are just really low in personal quality

  • and the only question is what is the reason? I am not falmiliar with the past of hk, however I have seen it last year as well as some part of China. Of course the perception of hk is much brighter than other chinese territory at the moment and even it is going to change, China is far behing in terms of standard of living, castomer service and so on. Hk people were just lucky to be treated by the UK supremacy , which upgraded the standart and Quality of life, same like in Macau

  • there are still some part of China still suffer in starvation i believe, i feel sorry about them first of all. BUT PLZ, dont compare any part else in China to BJ. BJ ppl are so chill. we have tradition in us, but we living life hood style

  • well....u should say dont compare Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen with BJ, but ppl from other big cities are not too different to BJers, we have tradition in us as well. yea i feel bad for those poor ppl as well, but good thing is our country is improving, our ppl's life is gettin bettr, less ppl are sufferin, my cousin jus came bak from China, he told me Chinese ppl's life in 2009 is evn much bettr than 2007 and 2008

  • still man, go chill wit a bunch of BJ boys, i mean it. i have been all over this planet. NONE is as heart to heart as us BJ boys. it aint about money AT ALL. its all about how we ppl live, BJ style till i die. i so proud of us boys. U know even some phonies bury us boys in jail. WE just live different wit any other chinese. we dont war like a savage like some part in north nor living life for dollar like hongers

  • and you dont even want to KNOW what hk'ers think of mainland chinese/beijing people

  • Apparently Beijing guys are a bunch of gangsta wannabes.

  • and are you a chigger? BJ people are not known to be 'ghetto' or 'hood'? and living hood - does that involve smoking joints, gangbanging, prostitution, money laundering, drug trades etc? do you know what is living hood?

perhaps in los angeles, USA but not in BJ.

  • well, As a Bj boy, i would say Hongers are ridiculously rich, but anything beside that, HK has nothing compare to BJ. All my homeboys like our hood, they wouldnt wanna move to anywhere else AT ALL. PPL in BJ so got each other's back. Every BJ boy's got lil bit thug in us. IN our eyes Hongers just loser for life, they aint good at sport, music and nothing, all they gotta do is hold on a bunch of dollar till they die

  • that was such a generalisation. do you even know any hongkies? not all of them are stinking rich. most of them are just normal income.

and theres 'thugs' in all areas. like haven't you heard of those Triads that operate in HK? and since HK is 'free-er' they're more hardcore because in BJ you get punished sooo bad like death sentences if you do such crimes.

and you're implying that BJ people are all good at sport, music, etc? if they were that good then they would be famous worldwide

  • what a cute video lol

  • hong kong is way more advanced than beijing but northern guys are better looking but treat women bad

  • im a HKer born in britain and i think beijing girls are better too. taller stature, taller nose, lighter skin, flatter cheeks and narrower face. but a lot of them have small slant eyes, but the ones who dont have nicer faces than HK girls. actually most beijing girls have nicer faces than HK girls.

  • spspspspspspsps

  • hong kong is better

  • I'm amazed the beijingers understood a word this american has said. Need to work on the accent lol.

  • I'm a HKer in Vancouver and I seriously think that Beijing men are much better than HK men. Just listen to those HK guys, they seem to judge a person a lot on material wealth and ability to get it rather than social and soft attributes! It's the way urban Cantonese society was developed. By the way, Beijingers are also very well-educated, contrary to what that street lady said. Beijingers are also more welcoming of outsiders compared to HK. My salute to Beijing!

  • thank you even though im not Beijinger, but im Mainlander LOL

HKer are not that bad, i been to HK before, the people are also very nice, polite and welcoming

oh well, in the end, we are all Chinese so it does matter Hker or Beijinger LOL

  • lol, All the top 8 HK universities are among the top 100 in the world. Peking University, Tsinghua, Fudan, etc... can't even begin to rival Hong Kong universities. Not even the slightest bit.

  • Only HKU, CUHK and HKUST are better than Beijing U and Tsinghua, the rest hongkong universities cannot even rank top 10 chinese universities.

  • An real BJ boy wouldnt give a Fxk about those. We chill wit our crew till we die, we dont even need $ at all. Well, we prolly do, but we have hood money, we dont hold on to it tight, we sweat our money like you may never thought. you dont see real BJ boy unless you actually go into our hood. those ppl dress in suit wit a fxking white tie hanging into the shitter, screw them plz, they aint even real

  • hey mac, wut year's stat are u refering to?! 2003???!!!

LOL, u need 2 update ur own knowledge sometimes

  • Wow Mr Phead128, I saw ur comments all over YouTube

So how many Nobel Prize Winners did HK produce? So who is in charge of the world rankings that make you spam so many youtube videos of your arrogance and pride

Btw Beijing and Tsinghua are extremely old universities with reputations, not Blah Blah university who has less than 200 years of history

  • arrogance. If you notice, 100% of my posts were in response to "Shanghai is the best and equal to HK/Singapore"

    or

"China is the best, America sucks balls"

    I never initate fights.

  • Hi, my last reply to your nonsense (on YouTube videos)

I think you have short memories, at least 3 or 4 videos, related to Japan, HK, I saw your bashing of China cities, China universities, you insulting Chinese

Come on, for those neutrals out there, take a look at his comments below (if he never deletes them)

Hello, respect needs to be earned, not by bashing others, if HK university is good, people will know, not by bashing and maintaining your ego

I talk to you, I feel really shameful

  • @paratomato Im so so much salutewith you! took a look to those HK'S people talking Almost make people sick!

  • Very interesting. Thanks for making this video. haha It's amazing how informative YOUTUBE is nowadays. who would have thought!

  • lol its funny that you actually bought a cabbage....

  • 2:22 damn that guy is handsome

  • YOU SERIOUS?? do you mean 2:25???

  • LOL cuz 2:22 its a grandpa...

  • no....? look again

  • I bet her English name is Sofie

  • lol hte girl in black in so cute

Im northern Chinese..LOL...I WANNA DATE YOU

  • I'm northern Chinese too..Im from northeast

I date her first, you ASIDE!!! LOL

  • so are you very tall...?

  • am i very tall??u r asking my height??

im 186cm...its up 2 u 2 decide if its tall or short

  • yeah i think thats tall

  • thank you

so have you been to mainland before?

  • SUCK MY ASS BASTARD

  • well....from my own personal experience

northern Chinese tend to be a bit taller than southern Chinese. I'm 184cm i live in Northeast part of China, and this height is even not "very tall" in there

  • i'm 171 cm, is that average in the north?

northern guys look manlier and the better looking southern guys are what I consider "pretty boys." they look frail but cute

  • yeah for girls 171 is average in the north (i guess you are a girl from ur name, :P excuse me if im wrong) , it could be a bit above the average

  • north average female is 170cm

    for shanghai around 165cm

for china average urban around 162.5cm

  • hongkong ppl are so self confidence...but however... hongkong ppl celebrate chinese new year in a more traditional way?? i dont think so.

  • some things lost in the Cultural revolution. traditions were lost in the war on the 4 olds. Now some traditions are back, but it's inevitable that some has been lost. You'll find DIFFERENT traditions in HK and TW than in BJ. Also, China still bans ceremonies, only recently was Qingming LEGALIZED. Though they're trying to regain traditions, they can't do it by buying promotional items and editing their tourism brochures, tradition is TRADITION. and lot of it is simply gone.

  • ok thanks for your reply.

but i am a mainlander so that i think i must know more about whats going on in the mainland China.

also, i am a cantonese so that i know how "traditional" the hong kong way of celebrating chinese new year is.

  • I say go and find the guy at 7:33!!! Very stylish!

  • Just wonderful, thank you.

  • how tall are you sufei??

  • I love ur Chinese accent its hot

  • Wootness, I'm exicited to go to Hong Kong this month. I want to visit Shanghai and Beijing eventually.

  • Makes me wish I were in Beijing, never lived there but I would in a heartbeat. Ni hui shoa hanyue jin hao.

  • your Chinese is well spoken aside from your annoying whiny voice and your ugly fashion sense.... but love your vids!!!

  • oh~~~you speak Chinese very well!

  • I don't really wanna bring up politics here.

I want to know will Hong Konger fight for inependence like those Obnoxious Taiwanese??

  • I think most people don't really care as long as theres no drastic changes in their livelihood.

  • well it is impossible anyway, coz hong kong isn't even an island

  • Do Hong Konger still chasing democracy like they do a decade ago?? Hong Konger's choice. UK or China??

PS:You don't need to be Geographically separated to gain Sovereign. Like Serbia and Croatia.

  • Yea, we still chase democracy like we did a decade ago.

Hong Konger's choice: hmm hard to say, but I think most people's choice is China, to me, it doesn't really matter, coz it has pros and cons to no matter which side we belong

  • UK hasn't brought democracy to HK. But at least now, it is HKnese governing HK. And traditions are celebrated more openly.

  • Hong kong is an island!.. The New Territories isn't as its joined to the mainland, though it is seperated by the shenzhen river..

  • well, i prefer to say Hong Kong is a peninsula........

  • I wonder why not many people ask whether California guys are better or Washington guys are better. It is not a question to be serious about, can't believe so many thinks they looks better, sure the HK guys don't want to say that they look better than you, because it is utterly stupid thing to say! And some interpret it as confidence, sad.

And here is a list of handsome HK guys: Chow Ren Fat, Leung Chow Wei, Liu De Hwa, etc. Give me back your list, not so confidence anymore aren't you?

  • I'm from HK. With the exception of Leung Chow Wei, I don't find the rest on your list very attractive. Andy Liu appeals to 40 year old + people mostly.

    You couldn't be 17.

  • check out the hot chicks and lads of Dalian in north China, they are famous for their Dalian models, mainly due to their height and looks.

  • i think ppl should put aside their differences and just appreciate the fact that this video was made to appreciate the beauty of chinese culture, something most of us can also appreciate

    don't hate, appreciate

  • A guy from the north or a guy from the south? Well I'm Cantonese, but there's a Beijing guy interviewed there who is VERY VERY hot. <3 Sufei's videos!

  • Actually guys from both Hong Kong and Beijing are good, just need find the right one and thats it

  • Where's the best place to find a husband, Beijing or Hong Kong?

Hong Kong baby, at least we are better cultured

at least we won't do 0:47 on the streets

  • Good point. It shocked me so much to see the mainlanders do that. :o/

  • because they were British colonies. I'm not proud of this.

  • While their spoken English may sound horibble, but they do have better proficiency in English compare to ppl in surrounding countries,

Does Hong Konger speak better English than them??dispite of years Under the British rule??

  • I'm a uni student from Hong Kong.

I must say almost all who speak good english are not "purely grown hong kongers",

those who are really comprehensible either studied overseas or their familes speaks good english.

However i see all young ones in HK are trying to learn and are eager to improve.

(but the HK style english accent is terrible i must say)

  • I think people who use mandarin as their mother tongue have more difficulties to pronounce proper english, I'm half Cantonese half Dutch and my mother tongue is English Dutch or Indonesian, urban Indonesian language doesn't have any strong accent, while Singaporean english is horrible i must say

  • What did the lady at the end say in canto?

  • "Huh, they're interviewing?" Then something about the spring festival that I didn't catch.

  • Thanks. =)

  • omfg 2:25 !!! hes sooo HOT!!!

  • omg, he IS hot !

  • he....

  • I agree! He's gorgeous!!

  • You're so right!! so cute!

  • Wow so many people in Hong Kong speak english. Thanks again for another great vid.

  • "Wow so many people in Hong Kong speak english."

I doubt that. I think it appears that way because she only interviewed people that could speak some english, since she most likely can't speak cantonese.

  • you doubt all you want, but the fact is hong kong was an english colony, and english is an official language. and the stats tells me that 70% of the hong kong population speaks english.

btw,I am one of the 70%.

  • That's not true, according to offical sources, 3.1% of people in Hong Kong report using English as their primary language and 34% report being able to speak fluently it as a second language. You are making up figures, that is dishonest.

  • Exactly. A lot of people could communciate in basic English but they have problems communicating fluently.

I'm also born and bred in HK but went oversea.

  • Actually, most Honkies I know have problems with speaking English in other countries. Sure, a lot of people understand the basic English but that's different from speaking it fluently in everyday conversation. Some of the "English" I heard when I went back to Hong Kong for visits was pretty funny. Eye Contact is known as "eye touch".

I know I sure as hell had problem with English when I first went to US. My parents who are also Hong Kongers still have problems with English.

  • Well, you were shifting from using cantonese everyday in your life to using english, of course you had problems with the language. but that doesn't mean you couldn't even carry a conversation in english before you came over though.

  • what you pointed out is right, they might not be able to speak the language fluently and correctly, which is about the proficiency level of those interviewees.but clearly they were able to communicate with the interviewer with no big barriers. so the conclusion is most HK people can carry a basic conversation like the ones shown in the radio.

  • Nope, they start teaching in preschool.

I was born in HK and came to Canada when I was 7. We learned the basics of English back then, but because the people there learned English so late, you see a lot of people who can speak English but aren't fluent.
