  • (cont) my fitness classes, I braid my hair in four big braids and I wrap with a scarf. I put in some leave-in conditioner and co wash at the end of the week.   • maybe you should try bunning your hair if your gonna be rinsing every day! just rinse slap some leave in or moisturizing product in it and bun it up in some type of bun or tucked in ponytail!

  • I'm natural too and honey child, twist..twist..twist, aint no way around it. Smaller twist for working out, twist out on weekend, thats how i get down or else let the Chaka fro do its thang :-)

    The microtwists work well when working out. They take forever to do, but after a workout, I can rinse those babies and apply Kimmaytube's leave in. It seems to be working so far.

  • I have microtwists too. They hold up very well.

  • i am doing TF and that will make you sweat so i put my hair in big twist or really small twist , so it's easy the wash after

  • I work out 3-4 day a week and only wash my hair once a week. I use a aloe spritz to keep my scalp feeling refreshed. It contains aloe vera gel, water, tea tree EO, peppermint EO and rosemary EO.

  • hey tracie i exercise five to seven times a week, but i have locks. If you go walking five days a week than maybe you wont sweat as much. Go for a thirty minute walk in the morning, and then maybe another at lunch or when you get home.

  • I've only been natural for a little under a year so my hair stays off of my shoulders if it's not super wet. I just wear my hair in a twist out and do a wash n go in the middle of the week. I work out 6-7 days a week and I sweat in the back of my head BAD!

    PS...I have 3 green smoothies in my fridge right now. Yum!! All I put in my green smoothie is kale, a banana and pears. Add in some water and it's good to go. No need to make it to complicated :)

  • @Thykness That is actually the cup that I blend my smoothies in. It's a part of the magic bullet. It's awesome and I use it EVERY.  SINGLE. DAY.

  • I didnt have juice one day and i used water and I actually ended up liking the water better! I was tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited.

  • Thank God your hair is natural so keep it conditioned and moisturized. Tuck wrap and roll do what yo do but it sounds like you want to make the exercise priority so keep it moving naturally.

  • i've heard of people taking a cotton ball and applying witch hazel to their scalp.....i tried it and it's just alright......nothing to write home about and i've recently seen a video of a girl who uses a dry shampoo....haven't tried that one yet
