yup u can see the camera crew at 0:15 tht was a mistake and when they were making the ultimate edition bond movies on dvd they had to decide wether or not to keep it in or take it out. they ended up keeping it in the movie. it would b weird if tht happend again in a movie from today.
@MrLunitunz In fairness she was vital to the preceeding part of the scene, but I see where you're coming from. The women in this Bond outing where particularly poorly served Miss Anders out and out victim, Moneypenny a fawning buffoon and Saida vain, shallow and callous. Saida (afore mentioned screaming woman in this scene) is, I think, meant to be alluring but unlikeable, so this is kind of her comeupance.
@Hecatean Though I should say thaere were the "karate twins" who show Bond up in the later part of the movie so that was a step towards redressing the balance I suppose.
this fight scene was brutal. though connery's bond was a beast his fight scene with red grant on the train from russia with love and the elevator fight with peter franks in diamonds are forever were hardcore. those two fights got me into bond
a question: Suppose that the second attempt was not interrupted by those three, that bond would have done if he would leave with a smile and a bullet in his mouth, and Said was without realizing that they had an empty belly?
it think it was stupid when asked by the company restoring and making these films look and sound better if they wanted that part of the crew deleted out eon or Michael Wilson said no with films like james bond you shouldent have misakes like tht i wish they did
@SonnyCorleone100 i believe tht the bald headed man was the owner of the club if u seen the movie when the women get up to band he get jealous or mad and calls his bodyguard over and this was the result
@SonnyCorleone100 well if u have remastered disc 2 of dr.no they talk about it and and said we ask if u want us to delete tht , u we have to find out in the movie
Despite of many people hate this movie I think TMWTGG was great - one of my favorite Bond movies. Roger Moore, Christopher Lee and Britt Ekland were brilliant.
Good question, a lot of people think the bald fella is Saida's man or an over protective boss. That doesn't seem likely as Saida doesn't seem to know what's going on. Possibly they're enemy agents or small time thugs who heard bond was in town and fancied their chances perhaps hoping to get a bounty from SPECTRE or maybe even membership in return for Bond's head.
The guy who's head's put through the mirror at the end is played by Rocky Taylor who appears in Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) as one of Carver's thugs who gets an ashtray smashed over his head!
I always liked this fight scene, as it showed Roger Moore could be a right bad ass as James Bond sometimes...
but does anyone else think it was odd that Saida would happen to have a can of Brut bodyspray in her dressing room, so Bond could spray it in some goon's face?!?!
I wouldn't mind betting Saida was a tranny on the sly!
Not a pro fight, not even amateur, sorry but this looks like a beginner, there's too many mistakes made, especially having the cameramen shown in full lens in the mirror! I love moore, but his fights are poo on toast, almost for primary kids
that blooper at the mirror is not that bad - it all goes that fast that nobody notice that without knowing - it is much worse with FRWL when the chpper explode and you can see one technian trying to hide in front of connery
Poor Saida, thinks she's pulled a nice bit of male totty only to get her room trashed, endure the humiliation of her belly button being uncorked and being superstitous probably has a run of bad luck from there on in, unless Bond returned her "lucky charm" after he was done with it. Doubt it though, he's such a cad!)
Oh you never know there's no thou shalt see everything a fictious character gets up to. Maybe he did return it later for bonk. But no you're both right he probably didn't and she probably did get the sack if she was lucky. After all maybe it was her who hired Scaramanga on 002 and using the bullet as a belly button jewel was her way of avoiding getting caught. Maybe Bond handed it to the Beruit authorities and the link got made and she was finally captured
It's possible after defeating Scaramange and finishing with Goodnight he returned to give back the charm he'd "borrowed" from Saida because he'd missed out on bonking her. Nice theory Lindsey but where the hell would a belly dancer get a million dollars from? Also why the hell bother stealing Saida's bullet when he's already got one that was sent to him?!?!
Well high profile belly dancers get paid the same as rock stars in some countries. Yeah okay if Bond hapened to have business in that part of the world after dispatching Scaramanga or had a vacation there he might have popped in to return the bullet and bonk Saida. Though I doubt dhe'd want it back if she'd known where it's been. As for why bother taking it, good point! Possibly for kicks or maybe he did indeed suspect Saida of hiring Scaramanga and wanted to avenege 002...
