Any change destroys the rest of the film, If you are male and have an intellect you will not watch this film and be unmoved. The film is a flawed vision but a vision it remains, do not waste your time with this edited shit. I have seen this film many times and it never fails to leave an impression on me as there is more meaning to be found each time. If you read the Joseph Conrad's book it localize the action sailing the Congo river. It's about how an extraordinary man can become a crazy (for civilitation) and a god for others. And how the guy who has to bust him starts to understand and feeling the same feeling..To be a God among primary people. Like the first roman who traveled to Great Britain and step down the boat and maybe though "I'm the light in the darkness". (Heart of Darkness, Joseph Conrad)

People love to argue whether this is a pro-war or anti-war movie but if you read heart of darkness you'd see it's an affirmation, or at least acknowledgment of both. The end is very ambiguous and the main character marlow (willard) is left uncertain or at least skeptical about all ethics but also understands why they exist.

Don't youse the same audio track. It is DRM protected. There are enough "no rights reserved" versions of "The End" floating around. That's what I did. Use MIDI for the "copter tracks, etc. See The End_ Appocalypse Revisited.

The whole scene where martin sheen is punching mirrors and all that is completely improvised, he got drunk and told the crew to film him and he actually did punch the mirror and cut his hand and put his blood all over his face, it freaked out the crew but copella (or however you spell his name) told them to keep filming. he was actually crying as well and tried to hit copella

If you read the Joseph Conrad's book it localize the action sailing the Congo river. It's about how an extraordinary man can become a crazy (for civilitation) and a god for others. And how the guy who has to bust him starts to understand and feeling the same feeling..To be a God among primary people. Like the first roman who traveled to Great Britain and step down the boat and maybe though "I'm the light in the darkness". (Heart of Darkness, Joseph Conrad)

People love to argue whether this is a pro-war or anti-war movie but if you read heart of darkness you'd see it's an affirmation, or at least acknowledgment of both. The end is very ambiguous and the main character marlow (willard) is left uncertain or at least skeptical about all ethics but also understands why they exist.
