Where in Mission Viejo is this? does anyone know? Because I live in Mission Viejo, and if i had known they were going to be practicing i totally would have gone.
It was at a HS - can't remember the name. It was at the top of a hill a few miles up from the interstate and near a large shopping center. They only had one rehearsal that was open for people to watch.
You have to all realize, its not based on how they do at practice. There is a little thing called nerves that can REALLY screw up finals for you. No one is perfect and that can happen all the time. Every little but they judge happens on the field, under the lights, in front of thousands of people. That means things might not go as well as planed.
Maybe your judging is wrong not DCI's? I agree though, although I am a hardcore BD fan, they didn't deserve 1st In my opinion. Very close and both of them did outstanding.
This show was incredible, and they DEFINITELY should have beaten the cavies by nearly a full point at least. The devils were too perfect performance wise to lose, the cadets show was...well we all know. But their drill and music was harder than phantom's. So I can see them beating phantom but no way should have phantom been at 94.8 where the devils were 3+ points head.
