This is kind of sad because when I watched the anime at this point I knew that Griffin as we knew him was dead and in the 90s when I first heard this song I was sad because one of my favorite bands had died.
A lot of people seem to not understand Griffith. A lot of people just say "he is evil" or "they hate him". They put him in this little box. I love Griffith personally. What most people don't understand, after Guts left really, I think Griffith came into a huge mental crash, because something valuable to his goal was taken. His choices make him evil, and his mental condition didn't help.

Because of that everything about Griffith was an act and to tell be honest, I also felt as if Griffith was just pretending to be helpful to his companions and other times he was the best help they could get
All I can say is, Berserk's story illustrated his personality perfectly, there was no flaw in the display

Yeah, Metallica hasn't made anything good in a long while. What's funny though is in the Berserk outtakes one guy sang "One" ("Darkness imprisoning me") in the first scene of this AMV- 0:55.
I'm sure the person knows what he did. However, some of us individuals are selfish; the word most ordinary people would use for us, though I consider ambitious much more proper. To some, accomplishing a dream is more valuable than anything else in the world; family, friends, money, and for that dream we'd give everything in the world to obtain it. All of you guys should really watch the series in Japanese and I just *gotta* tell you, griffith suffers a great loss of charisma and authenticity without his original voice. Griffith became Femto, "The wings of darkness". He is the prince of demons. He is evil incarnate, self centered, arrogant and willing to propel himself with the lives of his friends. The story of berserk is so powerful it sometimes leaves me sitting back in my seat in awe. Seriously. So much emotion! If any of you guys have the time READ THE MANGA. Greatest story EVER told.

he accepted becoming the 5th God hand because he wanted his dream (own kingdom) more than anything else and because he could no longer achieve that in his state. Even though his friends were important his dream still outshined them, which he proves when sacrificing them.

Griffith was _never_ a "really good man". He was a visionary who was willing to slaughter thousands and, in the end, betray the men who'd served him to achieve his dream, and I was under the impression that when he finally _does_ achieve it as Femto, the kingdom suffers terribly.
