How did the watermelon do? I bought a couple of black diamond seedlings and I was thinking of growing them in an earthbox but I'm not sure. I know the plant spreads so I'm not sure to whether to use an earthbox or not.
The watermelon last season only did ok for me. I got plenty of fruit. It was not b/c of the EB though. The bugs just got to the plant and ravaged them before they could really put out. This year I have them again and so far it's going well. I plan to be more vigilant about spraying.
Yes you can grow watermelons or any other melons you can think of. This is my first year trying melons. I have 2 icebox watermelons and 2 ambrosia cantalopes. you will not beleive the newgrowth. I will be posting an updated video of that progress soon. So checkback soon
I plan to use the Ultomato stakes that I have heard others speak about. The next video will be out in about 2weeks so you can see how that works out for me. This is my first try with the vines well see how things go
Your garden looks great! I only have 3 boxes right now but plan to expand in the future. I'm looking forward to seeing how your watermelon and cantaloupe turns out and how you staked them!
