  • Great video.. I wasn't even around at that time just a few months after this video was taken.. DLR was new at the time... 315s, 317s, 321s all in British Rail Livery... and the 1962 was just getting withdrawn at the time..

  • Excellent video , great to see all those classic emu's in a classic livery . Just think a joined up railway with one common goal ..... what was they thinking ;-)

  • Great old trains, NSE is the best livery they ever carried in my opinion. Thats some pretty ancient looking tube stock there too. Nice flashback. Stratford looks very different now!

  • look at the pantograph at 7:11 wtf ????

  • @LJJ23ARSRUL There are many sites with info on the 309's and their reformations. The set with pantographs on the leading coach were formerly 2 car units.

  • @Dave58282 awesome units the 309's - should have them running up and down the walton-thorpe line as heritage units like on the southern

  • the dlr liver is amazing

  • I miss the Network SouthEast livery on 321's. It suited them well! Great vid m8! =-D

  • 3:13 that 321 looks odd

  • @glitch4465 It may be the lower resolution I used for my first batch of videos uploaded. I've now got a added hard drive and am planning to use better resolution for more uploads as I've more storage space!

  • amazing capture remember them like yesterday, what we got now privatised boring rubbish built overseas and expensive fares and confusion to go with it, they ruin everything in this country never satisfied with what we've got or had.

  • Those pesky 315s got in the way a bit did'nt they!

  • BREL dominated

  • Every time I go to SWT electrified areas, I reflect on the lack of stock built locally at Eastleigh-or even in this country!

  • i love stratford, its changed so much since i first went there in the late 70's. love seeing those old slam door units. 5*

  • I first went there in the early 60s when there was still some steam - no photos though - if only!!

  • Nice Video on the action of yesteryear on the Great Eastern Main Line, the Class 86 was king of the Norwich services, the slam door trains were still there plus the Desiro's and Turbostars did not exist back then, Merry Christmas to you :)
