I personally love the car with the 1jz, I have actually always been wanting to build a 2jz FC. The hate here is a bit out of control but you have also lowered yourself to their level by claiming a lot and bashing the rotary. I'm guessing by south and being Cuban u must live in S.FL. If you do u should know better because we both know there is plenty of worthy rotary down here. Take care man nice car :)

i prefer my rotaries and like the weight balance in rx7 due to them, but i wont hate on the 1jz swap either i like my toyotas, way more torque, plus the rotary isnt as reliable pushing alot of power, i still prefer rotaries but thats coz i dont plan on modding mine for that much power. Love the fc though fav rx7, you have a build thread on it btw? would love to see the work put into it, sounds beastly and looks the part. Props =), PS: link me ur build thread if u have one =P

We are going with the 1jz because we feel it will be more reliable for hard driving.  I like the rotory....but dont want to have to keep throwing motors in the car :(

Only thing i can say is I dont like the wing.....but that 1980s style. Props on the powertrain though. In the process of building a 1jz FC with a buddy for a drift car. Did you go with the VVTi? or non? And were you having issues with the stock fuel pump??

1JZ is a great power producing and reliable unit easily comparable to the RB26 however it has no place in a mazda especially not a rx7, as a rx7 without a rotary isn't a rx7 anymore basically what I am saying is that you have taken a great car like the rx7 which is unique in the fact that it has a rotary engine and then take the the thing that makes it so special out of it, essentially ruining the car, if you wanted a fast 1j you should've bought a supra or cefiro, you would have saved 1000s

Love the 1J, but a single turbo 20B would destroy this. It takes about 700 cylinder hp to outrun 500 rotary hp just because of the weight advantage. Still love the swap though bro, thumbs up from me

I must say, even though I'm not into the tuner cars at least the owner of this car did an excellent job of making everything match up well. The dual tips in the back make it look at home on the car, as opposed to a giant soup can off to one side. Nice ride.
