I believe the prediction was 43% or 46% in the next 30 year. Yes it could be chance that there won't be an earthquake since it under 50% but it still good. Almost half chance of happening half chance of not happening. The imagined earthquake would, they say, cause 2,000 deaths, 50,000 injuries and $200bn (£134bn) in damage (BBC).

wow a 7.8 magnitude! gosh 6 months without water, well hopefully there will be some water pipes remaining. I hope everyone over there stay safe today

I have heard that they are getting close to being able to predict earthquakes but I am not really sure. Check out the USGS site for more information.

No, but it will be the largest drill ever held in California and hopefully, will save lives in the future. The State has worked hard to get people informed.

We may be out of water for up to 6 months. The major water line cross the San Andres fault.

scary.......im in middle school and im near los angelos. =[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[[ even if people survive from the quake it seems like the water will be even a more bigger problem
