  • Fantastic Jackie, i could watch you baking scones like that all day & maybe have a little rub (of your dry ingridients, steady women) a couple of smirnoffs & it'd be who's sorry now haha loved it Jackie your a joy to watch & listen too

  • Hummm Is it three cups of flour? and is it bread flour?

  • i just made scones yesterday and it was freakin delicious :D

  • I from Germany and we made Scones at School (This was an epic Englishlesson)^^

  • i love you jackie, a few vodka's and the pussycat dolls, my kinda gal lol. if my nana had been more like you i would have visited more xx

  • i love this video...i love how real Jackie is...she's magic...i made her scones...they are just deliciouse!!!!

  • 10 OZ MARGARINE?...........yuck! Can't stand margarine and I never heard of scones made with it.

  • Would you like some scone with that cream...?!

  • How long do you bake it for? thanks

  • OK, thanks for the ingredients. This is better.

Any chance of putting them into measuring cups for us Yanks?

    Also oven temps. Thanks

  • @flwagr What the heck is a cup? I've lived in the states for 10 years now, when will you yanks learn that a cup is not a measurement.

  • @bowler8 -- Oh it certainly IS so a measurement! One "cup" equals 8 ozs. Have some respect. We don't criticize you limeys when you use measurements different than ours.

  • Cute lady and nice looking scones, but what the heck are the ingredients?

    1.)Regular flour or self-rising flour?

    2.)Baking soda?

    3.)Baking powder?

    4.)Butter or margarine?

  • OMG, i know different people say it different but i hate it when scones is pronounced like it is in this video. I say scone in a similar manor to stone :P

  • JAKIE I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!

  • Hey darlin'. If you use half milk and half water and then melt the butter ... then put the liquids in together... you'll find those scone will be a lot lighter. *wink*

    Hugs Gaz

  • that is a small ass kitchen.

  • For a minute there I thought she was going to blame the immigrants for closing down the bakeries!

  • I made scones using Jackie's recipe (except I left out the raisins). They were the best scones I've ever made. I made a lot and froze the ones that we didnt eat. To reheat, we just microwaved them for about 1min. Still good. Thanks for sharing your recipe Jackie!

  • you can find quite a few nice scone recipe'sat cookingoldengland(dot)co(dot)uk

  • She's just gorgeous....now thats a scone ^_^

  • why is dennis wearing a skirt, what kind of place is this?

  • Omg Im Hungry For A Scone :D x !

  • firstly if you wear a kilt in lanc you will come to a grissly end second they are shorts and third it was ment as a joke .coz they look like a skirt .

  • I've made all butter scones, and they are wonderful

  • The quantities aren't right in the video compared with the quantities in the recipe...please post correct quantities

  • what are the weights?

  • I learned about these at the Washington Fair, never had one but then I read about them in a book called "Redwall" and have always wanted to try them :)

  • yeah the stuff in the book makes me hungrah

  • Yeah. I've tried making some of the stuff from it (shrimp and hotroot soup), following Brian's exact recipe.

    Damn good :O

  • I love the book redwall. Kathleen's tea room has the best scones in the world.

  • is that old gent wearing a skirt

  • @andylist1972 scottish people

  • @theofficialbes OH they are scotish are they I allways thought the scots border was further north than Lancaster.lol

  • @theofficialbes they are not scottish

  • @andylist1972 its a sctotish thang

  • @emmaO85 who's scottish ?

  • @andylist1972 no it is called a kilt :)

  • Nice video; I would have to say that I too find the quantities in the recipe strange. It doesn't look like Jackie uses anything like 2lb of flour to her 2 eggs ( recipe uses 3lb to 3 eggs), plus a lot more marg than 6-7 ozs (recipe 10oz divide by 3 times 2). I like to have here quantities for making 6 as in the video. They looked perfect.

  • yea but who's the old transvestite comin back friday wi nancy

  • thats a kilt he's wearing, not a skirt

  • mmm

  • These look delicious, but wayyyy too fattening! lol

    ;)

  • Can someone plz convert the ingredients into cups!! PLEASE!! Thanks

  • Are u sure the ingredients on the right are correct and the same as in the video??

  • sorry didnt see the ingredients on the right hand side..thank you lass!!

  • I loved this video....i would of liked to know the amount of each ingredients to make some real Yorkshire scones!! Thanx all the same...

  • What a lovelly Yorkshire Lass!!

    Great Recipe Sweetie Pie..

    By Gum!!

  • Jackie, you RULE!!!

  • I love how people in the UK who own country hotels and cafes are everyday people. In Aus most people who own shops and hotels usually have money and are not real people. Loved the video.

  • Australia is the best country in the world! :(

    But still, the vid good.

  • brilliant video!

  • Wrong cream!! Clotted or thick at least!! caned cream!UGH

  • can someone convert this is grams and cups??

  • she doesn't put in three eggs but two where did you get the ingredients from?

  • this vedio is a little wierd and disturbing i mean i watched it all..... but i think it was kind of helpful . but ya she should have tould us the amount of ingredients that were neede. but cool

  • wish all these grandma will say how much flour, sugar, etc, etc, etc. or at the end of the clip

have a listing to dummy cook like most of us!

  • The ingredients are now posted in the comments section..happy cooking.

  • Thanks Jackie :) You rock!

  • @HumanBeans hi - could you repost the ingredients?

  • @HumanBeans where are the right measurements...doesn't look like you use 3lb flour

  • Great tips from a lovely lady. Thank you so much for sharing that:-) Oh BTW that kid - WJC007 tip saying "don't add eggs" he's uttering rubbish so don't be fooled everyone!

  • I love to hear her talk. Now I'm hungry.

  • oh my god....HEAVEN! another reason why i should move to uk/ireland! wheres the clotted cream though

  • What's Cooking Grandma is a great resource. Videos of our grandmothers cooking the recipes they are known for. I wish I had some of these by my own grandmother.
