Rats have fun with an Egg.

Is it just me or are black ((or at least almost completely black)) rats sort of uncommon? I'd love to get a black one if possible.

OMG what beautiful rats! I once did an Easter Egg hunt for my rat and rabbit, but my rat kept stealing the eggs away from the bunny! They are very pushy!

@xXxXlilshadyxXxX She came from a proper breeder where I live (as in not back yard breeders, or people who are "so called" breeders). The grey does fade over time.

Awwww! These two are so cute!!! =) I too like Cloud's coloring; GORGEOUS!!!  I think they call this a "husky" coat in fancy rats, correct?

@DumansArk Thanks. :) Technically a Husky is like a Roan which doesn't roan out, but the Husky gene isn't over here (as far as I know, but not widespread if it is), so in the UK they are roans. The grey gradually disappeared. She's a striped roan. :)

Thanks! Rats don't come in breeds, they come in varieties. :D Bear is a Black Berkshire (and is half rex) and Cloud is a striped roan. They're both dumbo too.

Yup, just a hard boiled egg. :) They're both about a year old now, so they don't need as much protein for growth, so they usually get it around once a month. When they were babies they had it more frequently. :)

When this was filmed, Cloud (grey and white one) was probably around 5 months, and Bear 4 almost 5 months, as she's 2 weeks younger than Cloud. :)
