Like many people seem to be saying, the "can you take me back" really makes this song for me. It's beautiful, but makes me feel uneasy every time, because I know Revolution 9 is coming up, and it's almost like Paul is leading it in. I actually find that's the case with a lot of the White Album, like Ringo's "two, three" and "I got blisters on me fingers" (on Yer Blues and Helter Skelter), or in "Honey Pie" when Paul starts scatting. It's little things like that which make me love this album :D

I'm not sure why but the use of the C7 chord just after John says queen has a real creepy distorted sound to it. The song is in the key of G and although C is the 4th in that key by making it a C7 it has an unusual sound.I think maybe because often times the 5th of a key is where the 7th is used and maybe we just are not used to hearing the 4th as a 7th chord.I'm just speculating any thoughts anyone?

Like many people seem to be saying, the "can you take me back" really makes this song for me. It's beautiful, but makes me feel uneasy every time, because I know Revolution 9 is coming up, and it's almost like Paul is leading it in. I actually find that's the case with a lot of the White Album, like Ringo's "two, three" and "I got blisters on me fingers" (on Yer Blues and Helter Skelter), or in "Honey Pie" when Paul starts scatting. It's little things like that which make me love this album :D

I'm not sure why but the use of the C7 chord just after John says queen has a real creepy distorted sound to it. The song is in the key of G and although C is the 4th in that key by making it a C7 it has an unusual sound.I think maybe because often times the 5th of a key is where the 7th is used and maybe we just are not used to hearing the 4th as a 7th chord.I'm just speculating any thoughts anyone?
