  • Obama is jimmy carter on steroids LOL. Hey lets all pic up a mic and pretend to be a reporter LMFAO. I love to watch these liberal morons LOL

    Liberal=Stupid

  • Fact: Stock markets are rising due to obama's reckless fiscal and monetary policies. The USD is devaluing and stocks prices are just adjusting.

The low rates in the US means multi-national corps are borrowing from US and investing in China. Why would a creditor loan to Americans for Americans if the USD is devaluing?

obama's 2009 overspending was about $2 TRILLION. 2010 overspending already at $1.5 TRILLION. All that money going to large corps who bribed and lobbied obama.

    obama hates you

  • Horrible President. He has done nothing, zip, nil, nada, NOTHING. The only thing he has done is ZERO to earn a Nobel Peace Prize while not even saluting troops of the flag. Horrible President thus far.

  • What do you mean done nothing? He's done more to screw up the econ., national security, our world image, and our future than all those before him combined.

  • Touche

  • now to expect someone to fix eight years of blundering overnight is a very unrealistic expectation. bush totaly led the world into the economic abyss it all started with that unwarrented war on iraq people dont understand that war costs lots of money and needless lives are have been lost on faulty intelligence reports and the propoganda of lies but, i believe that obama doesnt know what he is doing and that he is getting bad advice from people within his administration.

  • @doctorw2

Intelligence from 3 sovereign nations including the UN feared that Iraq had WMD. Most Americans supported Bush going into Iraq.

President Bush's duty is to protect the American people, and can only make tough decisions based on what official information he has available.

Seriously, it is easy for an idiot like you to just complain 7 years after the fact once everything has been said and done.

How much public support did obama have sending 30,000 more troops to the Middle East???

  • I agree what most of the residents interviewees' have said. It is hard coming into office with things being the way they are. I won't say I am disappointed in Pres. Obama I would say I am disappointed in the people that took out loans they could not afford. I am upset at the people on wall street that took all that money and ran with it. The car industry for putting out cars they knew would not be able to compete. I am especially disappointed with congress for taking out the public option.

  • @4lifeMrUntouchable

President Bush had to deal with Clinton's Tech-Bubble Crash causing a recession. And, eventually the 9/11 attacks, which Clinton motivated by attacking al-Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan, in 1998.

Democrats could not even win a third term in office after Clinton, who also spent all of the baby-boomers money.

Think about it. President Bush did a good job fixing the economy right after the Tech-Bubble crash and 9/11 attacks, whilst spending a lot less and cutting taxes.

  • OBAMA said he was going to give a helping hand to the muslims around the world

where was his hand when america dropped bombs on Pakistan leaving thousands homeless??

Where was that hand when Innocents in gaza where being killed ??

where was his hand when American reporter trishton was shot in the head in by the IDF??

Im really dissapointed by him and his moto was 'Yes we can' i say OBAMA BE A MAN!

  • I don't think that Obama is the real president...! I think Bush is still at the power, or his Bushizmering people...!

  • Most people think he's doing an Okay job!!??

Is that comment refering to this video Resident? C'mon...only 2 1/2 of those asked answered that way. Resident, you are just like the mainstream media: ignore the facts and create your own reality.

  • resident,

when I see the stupid bimbos at cable news channels asking loaded questions like this, this is not surprising. But why would you?

  • President Obama is a work in progress. Ask me again in 2011. Every President has there challenges, miss to clean up from prior adminstrations.

  • Okay, religion does NOT have a place in politics! There is separation of Church and State for a reason, people!

With that being said, Obama doesn't deserve the Nobel Peace Prize. He hasn't done anything to deserve and in fact, he wasn't even awarded on what he has done, but his aspirations! *rolls eyes* Whatever ...

  • I agree with the first guy in the video, I never expected anything of him and din't believe the hype. And yes, he's been exactly like I've expected.

  • Obama's speech about the "evil" in Oslo marked the low point in my respect for him. I always knew that he is keen on invading Pakistan, but this speech instead of a statement for peace was uncalled for.

  • Obama's moderate? The first guy has GOT to be kidding, or maybe he was expecting Karl Marx himself? The whole reason Obama has such a low approval rating is he lied...to the independents like me who voted for him, promising to be a "centrist" president . What a crock of S**T. Obama is uniquely talented in 1 way...he's managed to piss EVERYONE off. Good luck in 2012 Barack!

  • No way is Obama responsible to the failures of the Cuban economy. Castro had his chance to make changes and choose his own way and still does.

It remains to be seen if the leadership in Washington will meet the challenges facing them. We can't do nothing and expect things to get better.

  • jttprover you are a genius of a socio-political commentator.......NOT.

  • Well, I try I suppose.

  • Give him more time? Are you kidding me? Pretty girl from Russia Today, I've met in person. One month of Obama was more than enough! This derelict, radical, depraved, homosexual marriage promoting, fetus killing, athiest, G-d hating, freedom hating, Constitution shredding, privacy invading, war mongering, illegal, anti-Christ President has to go! He will take our entire nation down with him. I have signed every impeachment of Obama petition I could find on the web! Do a web search: Impeach Obama

  • 5 stars for your comment Elinitsam.

  • Elinitsam, sorry but Obama is not an atheist. There is no proof that he hates God, is depraved or is anti-Christ (though he does deny this country's Christian roots for some reason). News flash...the Nigerian plane bomber? You can rest now, news reports say Obama is "monitoring the terrorist situation" from his Hawaii vacation. Presumably while sucking on Pina Coladas and swimming at the beach with his family. Doesn't everyone feel safe?!

  • Yes and he promised to clean up the mess....let's see what he can do. How long will it take him? One thing I do know is....Obama can read.

  • Could be worse and could be better. Things have gotten better despite the large polarized chatter. Considering what he is up against, he is doing a decent job. People comparing him to so and so presidents are lunatics. As for the Nobel Prize thing, totally out of his control and he didn't even think he deserved it. So whatever.

  • yeah, check back in three years, let's see how the prez does. He will save America! Yeah! Give me a fucking break.

  • I am just going to let you all know that those arguing, for either side, are wasting your time because you are NEVER, I repeat, NEVER! going to change the minds of your opposition. No matter who is in office we are probably screwed and at least 50% of the USA will bitch and moan about it. THAT is going to be the downfall of America. More likely than not it will lead to a Civil War between Republicans and Democrats.

  • Yeah wtf @ the Nobel Peace Prize...really though?

  • Obama's biggest problem as president is that he is totally evil in nature, and his destiny is to be the figurehead that enslaves the entire free world for his Jesuit overlords.

The fact is, he's in league with conspirators.

For this they give him a Nobel Peace Prize. Nobel doesn't mean noble, they're a disgrace! Obama as president is a laughingstock!

All these douche bags asking for people to give him more time! How'd that work out for you with the Bush family? You're groveling swines.

  • Obama has barely been in office for a year. Give the dude more time for fucks sake.

  • Obama ain't done nothing besides the health plan. All those promises he made, withdrawing the troops, closing down guantanmo. He won the Noble Peace prize for being in office for less than a year, it's a mockery of the prize!

  • Obama's policies have prevented our economy from sliding into depression. Git-mo is closing. The Iraqi troops are being withdrawn. No one can solve every problem in 11 months. Give him at least a full term before you condemn him.

  • you sold bush down the river after half a term...and you impeached a decent president for a sexual act before him? Time is a luxury you don't have, seeing as how you've wasted so much already. Making sense to you yet?

  • "Iraqi" troops are being withdrawn?

    From which country?

BTW troops rotate through Iraq... So you could even say that Bush brought troops home every six months...

  • His second term will leave this country very much in stable condition, till another republican fuck comes alone;

  • @Spellflicker doubt he'll be alone... (or she...)

  • There won't be a vote for second term. He'll do what clinton didn't, and make sure he passes laws so he can run unapposed as president for life! Welcome to your new communist America!

  • I think Obama's doing great.

We needed more troops in Afghanistan and we're getting them.

I'm sure he'll raise troop levels in Iraq too, as soon as that starts falling apart again...

Just like JFK and LBJ did in Vietnam...

  • how much more money do you have to support these troops. Last I looked, your top generals were screaming they couldn't guarantee troop payments over christmas. Just send some more troops though, you can obviously afford to!

  • ummm... I don't know how much you know about military pay, but we don't use the Roman Imperial system of making the generals pay their soldiers out of their own treasuries.

Our soldiers are paid by the US Congress and it never stops as long as there is a US Treasury.

The whole US would collapse before military pay stopped.

  • the congress tried to stop the health care bill by holding of on passage of another bill....the democrats called it "treason", so the republicans caved and passed it. Had it not passed, pay for the troops would have been put in jeapardy, and the generals wrote to the congress stressing that point. This is why you now have a health care bill that passed like a thief in the night...... shall I find the news clip to prove it to you?

  • In an attempt to delay the debate on health care, Senate Republicans tried to filibuster a defense spending bill early Friday morning, the Washington Post reports. They failed, as a 63 to 33 vote now allows the Senate to approve the legislation on Saturday and return to the health debate.

  • military pay is part of the annual budget, the only way to hold troop pay up is to delay the budget passing, which would also hold congress's pay up.

    so figure the odds

  • Sure, find the news article. And take a look on the pay scale chart while you're at it, I'm one of those troops, and I keep an eye on pay issues.

I also keep on eye on the media and get a pretty big laugh on some stuff they say about the wars we're fighting.

  • Bush left this country a mess, not Obama. People who expect him to clean everything up in a year are idiots.

  • He's not expected to clean everything up- he's expected not to make it worse!

Obama has increased the deficit to new heights, got us further involved militarily oversees, broke his promise on gov't transparency and lobbyists, made us look weak on a national scale, and employment is at double digits.

He's managed to do the impossible in less than a year- be a worse president than Bush!

  • FALSE

    FALSE

    FALSE

Where are you getting your information?

  • If I'm wrong please give me the information that will change my mind.

  • @mikethetiger

Well, it's good to know we have seers, like you, whom by means of a magic orb can tell us that Bush would have done a better job in the current situation.

  • That's not at all what I said. People keep saying we have to give Obama all this time to fix Bush's mess. All I'm saying is that if you look at the data since he's been in office, Obama has made it worse. Of course, people who blindly support Bush or Obama never want to admit that their "guy" hurt or is hurting the country.

  • And all I'm saying is that you're blaming Obama for an economical situation he didn't create and doesn't have influence on. Not to mention the urgent environmental issues he has to deal with. No matter who would've been president right now, the timing was/is just too horrible for anything constructive.

  • I'm not blaming Obama for Bush's failures, I'm blaming Obama for his own failures. Obama has taken our plight and made it worse. That's not my opinion it is fact if you look at the amount of increase in spending and total deficit. Both presidents have been horrible with the economy due to bailouts, massive spending, unemployment, etc.

Just because I'm criticizing Obama doesn't mean I support Bush- they are both terrible for America!

  • @mikethetiger

You're blaming Obama for what failures exactly?

My impression is that he has introduced a better health plan for all Americans, and that he prevented the US from slipping into a another great depression. Quite an accomplishment for someone who has been in office for less than a year. I'm sure he'll get around his other promises at some point given more time.

So again, what "failures" are you talking about?

  • The same happened over here (UK) after 17 years of the tory administration, which totally fucked up a lot of things, jobs etc. was fine for the private sector, but really messed with the public sector, after labour got into power people forgot that the tories really screwed things up.

    People forget things too quickly.

Like you said give it a few years.

Labour have had 13 and it's still fucked

Staying happy and trying to get on the best ya can is the best option for moving forward. :)

  • "Labour have had 13 and it's still fucked"??

It's much much worse now than it was in '97. Britain's reserves are at their lowest ever. Why?

In '99 Brown sold 60% of our gold reserves when the gold price was at a 20 year low - to pay for the expansion of the public sector - and still raised more and more taxes. Most were stealth taxes. Labour's 13 years were based entirely on property boom and unregulated stock trading.

That is stupid on such a fundamental level, it's difficult to quantify.

  • 7 million jobs have been lost in the last 2 years. Way too many people who do have jobs are underemployed. Why hasn't Obama acted like he cares about this? JOBS are more of a priority than healthcare. A job to support yourself and your family should be available to every American willing to work! Isn't this more important than healthcare reform that makes insurance cos rich? IT'S THE ECONOMY STUPID!

  • @oblibious47

You're acting like a spoiled brat, that starts whining because your sole needs aren't immediately looked after.

Try to think of the people who haven't been able to afford healthcare for years, ...!

As for jobs.. LOL! I'm not at all surprised that jobs become scarse with so many people on this earth. Not to mention that capitalism prefers cheap labor. We can't simply expand forever, you know. Earth has a limit. I wouldn't be surprised if jobs will become a luxury in the near future.

  • @rattaplan

Obviously, you are just another worshiper who needs to just go pray to your obama messiah.

Seriously, tell us exactly the economic logic of how your obama messiah's policies will create jobs and fix the economy.

Because after over a year and TRILLIONS of tax dollars spent unemployment has tripled, personal bankruptcies are rising, and the economy is just getting worse.

  • @YouSmellLikePOOO

Get a clue, dude! He's trying his best with the crap he inherited.

Trying to reform anything within a political environment that's polluted with Republican lobbyists and thinkers is like moving mountains.

Besides, anyone with half a brain knew beforehand that Obama wasn't just going to save the USA out of its enormous mess. Not to mention within a single year! Except, of course, if you're deluded and believe in miracles.

  • @rattaplan

Seriously, obama is forcing Americans to become more dependent and reliant on government.

The real unemployment rate is now at 22% and is getting worse. That is about equal to adding the populations of the 20 largest cities in the US.

The longer people are unemployed the more compelled people will be to join the military.

obama is already sending more than 30,000 more troops to the Middle East.

Fact: obama is spending more on military than President Bush ever did.

  • @YouSmellLikePOOO

Unemployment rates climb during recessions. This should not be surprising.

Extra troops were sent in to speed up training in order to retreive most, if not all, foreign troops by 2011.

I've not dug into the whole spending bit, but I would assume current inflation rates + budget categorizing distort clarity here. Nonetheless, if a short term investment needs to be made to end the status quo, I don't see a big problem. Perhaps Bush simply prolonged funding by underbudgeting?

  • Obama will be looking for a new job in 2012. But he only need look for a few weeks, because on 12/21 he will be dead...along with everyone else. Woah Iz Me!

  • i voted for and like obama but have been a little disappointed. i think he's come up short on many of his promises, i think it's still too much "business as usual", disappointed our troops are still overseas fighting this ridiculous war and think the universal healthcare thing has been handled very poorly. still think he's better than mccain and definitely better than bush. obama still needs time to clean up bush's fiasco, tho.

  • The Healthcare is way better than what we had before and its not Obama's fault , thtat is was delayed and watered down, its the House and Senate Republicans that is obstructing the Bill for political ends, some things should go above Party partisanship and that's Healthcare.

USA is the only First world country that does not provide Universal Healthcare, Canada, UK and Europe managed it and their life expectancy is longer than the US, do the math.

  • it hasn't been well planned out, at all, and has turned into a big fiasco. the majority of americans are not happy. it's been confusing, wish-washy, unclear and divisive. the execution has been extremely poor and since this was obama's promise and he's the leader, it mainly falls on his shoulders. it was his deal- he needed to lead and organize it much better.

  • Republican and Health insurance companies vested interest does not help at all, it is betraying the American people.

  • no shit, captain obvious, but the dems are in the back pockets on insurance and drug companies, too. that's why this has turned into such a fiasco. and for the record, i hate repubs as much as anyone. but i'm also sick of the dems. they're both crooked and corrupt.

  • mr and mrs obama own private hospitals, or are shareholders in them, are they not? Conflict of interest doesn't matter though when you're the president I guess, right!

  • No one president can take on the corruption that's taking place in congress.

  • One term Jackass.

  • Obama is the chief enabler of the criminal racketeering that the banker crooks are perpetrating right now. What has he done? 1. Continued free money to incompetent banker 2. No transparency 3. Letting lobbyists running the show 4. No investigations of the crimes that Wall Street bankers have perpetrated like the concerted attack on Lehman that brought it down 5. Handouts to health insurance companies, 6. The cap and trade scam 7. No new investigation into 9/11 Etc. In short he is Bush II.
  • Obama turned out to be a polished turd. He's a very weak leader who can't get things done when his party is in control. Huge disappointment.

  • Turning America into a communist state is *NOT* the change I wanted, and I'm not alone.

  • @VonHelton

If Obama has turned the US into a communist state, why the hell is Castro criticizing it you fool? The US AND Canada are the furthest thing from communism, and if it were a communist state, maybe it wouldn't give birth to so many naive ignorant assholes like yourself.

  • @AFROMANFAN

Because Castro doesn't think Obama has went far enough.

  • @VonHelton

    Too bad he hasn't.

  • @VonHelton Well you're in luck, because the United States (Not America. That's a continent.) is not a communist state. You still own property, I assume.

  • @colossus999 Yes I do own property. However more industries are being taken over by the United States Government. The government, The President, decides who will run those industries. General Motors Chrysler, Goldman Sachs, the banks, Fannie Freddy... When will my company be next. McDonalds, Coca Cola, Tanning Beds the list goes on. No we are not a communist state but becoming more facist. Healthcare will be private most likely and providers will be sanctioned by the government. Sieg Heil lefty

  • @colossus999

No one in the USA owns property. Look at your title deed, idiot. Does it say "Tenant" or "Owner"?

I took Real Estate Law in school. I know what I'm talking about. You don't own JACK SHIT.

  • I did not expect too much by him. When he held a speach in front of 400.000 people in Berlin he said to a CNN reporter afterwords that this was a sign for people were longing for real leadership. That was absolute bullshit. People over here in Europe were longing just for a better US president than this intellectual jerk Bush. From that point on I was not surprised that he hardly fulfilled his promises - serious efforts in climate change, investigations against Bush gov. according Guantanamo etc

  • The Wall Street Banksters got Obama elected. Obama does what the Banksters tell him to do. The toxic assets have NOT been deducted from the cooked books...the stock market is a complete FRAUD! America is broke!

Fraudulent stimulous without subtracting the toxic assets equals BOGUS ACCOUNTING!

  • Lori, there's only sound on the right channel.

As for Obama, he's a pro-war corporatist, so what can we expect? We were sold a bill of goods, thinking he was an anti-war Progressive. I'm not pleased with his direction.

  • it's so sad how most new yorkers don't even know what's going on. anyone who says that 'he needs more time' or 'he inherited a mess' is just not informed about what's going on. if you actually FOLLOW what's happening, the policies that he's enacted to combat unemployment have been growth KILLERS. Everything he's done has been a growth killer. Health care reform is a joke; it's just a hand-out to the big insurance companies. It's more of the same. OBAMA = SOCIALISM FOR THE RICH/ANTI-CONSTITUTION

  • half of what people are blaming on Obama was left over from the Bush Administration. But he still is not great and is doing the complete opposite of what he promised. He is not ending war, he is rallying for more. Or is that Biden pulling the strings? Yea I remember getting involved with pakistan and iran was one of Bidens big things when running. War mongering mothafucka..

  • I think it´s sooo fucked up that the resident´s views decreased so much over the past year or so!! People just don´t know what´s good anymore if you ask me!!!

  • obama wins noble piece prize and he is currently killing people in two countries by the thousands.

    need i say more?

  • He won it because he is the most piece full guy he don't do a dam thing about a dam stuff

  • the best president they ever had in the worst time to be a president.

  • The change in fixing the country's problems is obvious something that will take time so we just have to wait in see. But, I really feel he is more of a Hollywood Celeb then a President with a crisis to overcome. Just today on VH1's end of the year program, they showed him commenting on Kayne West/Taylor Swift VMA mini drama. He called KW a jackass...are you serious? Commenting on something like that is the last thing he should be doing...hens, just more of a Hollywood Celeb then President.

  • Check back in 3 YEARS!?!? I'm all for giving him time but he needs to get his arse in gear. Stop screwing around with this health care bill nobody wants or understands and get to work on Priority ONE...the economy.

  • ASSessssss or ASSESS?

  • The Germans support obama? Once again shows they are not to bright!

  • Maybe they could take him off our hands.

  • God... Why is it then that the whole world outside the usa finds Obama doing a good job, while the americans themselves are "disappointed"? He's not a super wizard nor a magician, he has been elected at a very hard time. Cleaning after bush's mess isn't easy.

The american economy rose by 3% even if the dollar stock is low. Also, even if the unemployement rose, when the econonmy stabilizes the job offers will rise again. Have faith in your president America.

  • No, 3 years, no! This is like an abortiferous kryptonite!

  • Yup, very. Especially on the environment and social issues. He's done nothing to straighten out our wasteful fuel guzzling ways, and has sat by idly why transit systems across the US cut service, yet he's quick to bail out the auto and bank industries. The MTA in NY is cutting service next year and Obama could care less. Where's our bailout Barack?

  • Most of the people who she interviewed thought he wasn't doing shit and were fearful of the future. How the hell did she get an "ok job" at the end of the video.

  • Because people are afraid to admit when they are wrong, and boy of boy is Obama wrong!

  • I think I'm more disappointed in the American people for falling for him than I am in Obama.

  • @LooseLatitude Why. Was Palin the answer?

  • I'm disappointed in the American people for falling for Obama because it was plainly clear before the election that he was just another representative of corporate interests.

    Who said anything about Palin???

  • He hasn't done much yet? From 1:40ish

    He hasn't done anything!

He failed to keep any of his campaign promises.

  • He thinks sending more troops will help end the Taliban. I lol'd.

  • Yea...what ever happened to getting the troops out as soon as possible, instead he aproves another 30,000 to be sent for nothing.

  • Got news for you bro. McCain would have done the same thing. I respect your POV, but don't think someones partisanship would have made a difference for troop deployment.

  • He never said he was going to take our entire military out of the Middle East. He said he was going to shift focus from Iraq to Afghanistan.

If you didn't realize that, you didn't pay attention at all to what Obama was promising in his campaign. He had been saying ever since he was campaigning for the Democratic nomination that he wanted to put more troops in Afghanistan.

  • The corporate elite donates money to both major parties and whoever wins does their bidding. We are only given an illusion that we have a choice and like the suckers we are, we go and vote for our "choice". Oh how they must laugh at us. Notice how no one says anything about the little partnership between daddy Bush and Clinton. Has everyone forgotten how Bush's people pounded Clinton weekly for eight years? But now its as if nothing happen. Its all a lie and the band plays on.

  • Damn right, what a concise true and well tought of comment. Only thintg is if you are right, wich you probably are: it's frightening as shit...Said it before, ill say it again, America is on the brink of civil war

  • if there is a civil war, people in future generations are going to look back and say "man, all that over a watered down health care bill? what complete idiots!" seriously people, if your willing to destroy this country in order to "save" it, then you might want to rethink things a little

  • READ JOHN PERKINS

  • your summary was off this time, it didn't sound like everyone thought we needed to give him more time.

  • Actually the only reason you think most people feel he is doing a good job just give him more time is because you are blinded by his rhetoric as you were when you ignorantly voted for him. Most people have accepted he has failed and will continue to fail. He is a major problem with our country and his broken policies that are doing more harm than good. He is a socialist fool and always will be. He figures if the government controls more it is better for the people.

  • Obama is a figurehead.

  • Overblown from the start but SOME of us knew that. He'll do fine and as result WE'LL be fine. Some forget, if he fails we all fail.

  • everything will be fine... never question authority... always trust your leaders... especially if they are black

  • Did these stupid Americans expect a magic trick? Mr mulatto pulls a TV sitcom out of his hat? And in under a year?

  • I think obama needs to get rid of NAFTA, shut the door on China--we all go back to work.

  • Obama SUCKS!

  • ..we don't have time. People act as though democrats didn't revoke glass stegall act. Like the republicans gave him this economic crisis. Both parties are bullshit. He is the Bush II. The only change we got was dumbasses being ignorant. Where are the peace protesters now? The civil rights activists? Those opposing the CFR? Freedom of speech activists.? Where did ya go democrats? Awfully quiet thses daze.

  • By the way, politics aside, it's the return of the Resident's muff! And if you'll notice, it does match the hair on her head.

  • Yeah, check back in 3 years and you may be risking your life asking that question.

  • lol in year 3 time she will have a probe up her ass telling her how to speak

  • you honestly think that obama wants to control free speech?

  • It's going to take time. He didn't create this big mess.

  • No I do not think Obama has done anything good for this country but he most definitely has done something bad for this country. Sending troops to Afghanistan comes to mind. Absolutely no reason they need to be there just as there was absolutely no reason for them to be sent to Iraq.

  • I would think that Castro wouldn't believe in one person - But a party or ideal...

Maybe Castro should fix problems in his own country instead of worrying about the US?

  • Hello,Lori.

I wonder if the American public at large will want to give President Obama more time. Or,the Democratic controlled House and Senate. Americans may start voting their pocketbooks in 2010, and if enough are displeased with the financial state of America, there could be a shift to the right.

By 2012, the sentiment may remain, and Obama may lose the election.

  • Blagal, I am very displeased with the state of health care "reform", which is essentially an 8% tax from our paychecks going to bail out the health care industry. Like they need any more profit. The Democrats are so desperate to pass ANY bill that they've constructed something even the President doesn't like.

It will reflect in my voting choices in 2010 and 2012. I've been staunchly Green Party in my voting choices in the past, but it's time to kick the Demotaxers out of Delaware.

  • With the tea Party events happening i ear / feel a real revolt coming.Very faint whispers.

  • People who say Obama's doing a bad job all use the economy as the reason. But it was clear before he was elected that the economy was crashing. That has nothing to do with him. He's working with the scraps he was given. I guess those people just started reading the newspaper this year...

  • Ktokyo, how long does a President need to be in office before he starts to take responsibility for the mess we're in?

Mr. Obama may not have created the current Recession, but he is doing nothing to help our nation recover from it. His record deficit spending makes even Bush and Reagan's fiscal policies seem like Harry Truman.

  • OMG she works for RT, she's a Russian Spy pretending to be a patriotic american.

    j/k <3 Russia.

  • It's not Obama's fault that the economy is down, and also if people would know how to get it right again then they would sure do that, even Obama would.

  • DKT8, here's an idea - stop spending money we don't have. Balance the federal budget. Require American corporations that export labor to hire a greater percentage of American labor. Even at minimum wage, it's still American jobs.

Of course, neither would make it past the billion-dollar lobbying industry in DC, which is why we continue on the fiscal freight train to Hell.

  • Those people all had a very myopic world view. Only that One smart guy wondered why his fellow Germans were brainwashed by "Obama: the fuhrer rising".

This is sad, those people are all like mushrooms, they like to be kept in the dark and fed shit.

I can't believe these people can sleep at night. They sure can't wake up.

  • Well that second guy was right too... Bush and Obama are both easily the worst two presidents ever. We have them in a row, that spells a bad moon rising.

If you think Obama's doing a good job, I might ask at what.

Is it child sacrificing at a Freemason devil orgy? Or fucking the world up the ass while he shits on it? ... if so, I'm sure he is doing a good job then.

Why did people think a racist black supremacist Muslim would make a good president?

Will our next prez be David Duke?

  • "Is it child sacrificing at a Freemason devil orgy?"

    you need help.

  • why

  • Last time I checked his mom was a blond haired white girl and he was raised by his white grandmother. Why do you people keep claiming he's black. That comment by itself is racist.

  • What is he then?

  • Mixed or Interracial. If his hair was straighter and he was a few shades lighter people would be calling him white. To categorize solely on the color of skin is wrong... in my opinion.

  • To judge him is to look at the INSANE company he kept, read his egotistical manifesto filled with racist overtones, and there you have the man.

  • Obama did come into a mess but he's trying nothing to get us out of it. How was giving Billions of dollars to big businesses a good way to help the common people? And how is forcing a health care package that no one want helping him either?

All he's doing is throwing gasoline onto the fire Bush started and hoping it puts it out.

  • Agree exactly. He's doing the opposite of what he should be doing, even though he had tremendous political good will to spend. He's only there for the corporations. I think he and Bush will turn out to be the worst two presidents in American history, so far.

  • Obama was given a pile of crap by the Republican party a light year high. That he hasn't fixed it all isn't a surprise. Angry about our nations condition? Point your anger at the Republicans.

Jesus couldn't fix what the Republicans have wrought.

  • jesus has nothing to do with fake distribution of power

  • he did not deserve that Nobel prize but hes only been in office for a year even plus making new bills to pass in senate takes around 9 months

  • the guy around 0:46 really nailed it on the head, people like the guy before him with his "10% unemployment" seem to expect a miracle or he's terrible, i think obama is doing a pretty good job just holding together, i know he aint perfect, but really, as he said before he got into office 2 years is far too short a time to properly solve the financial crisis, fact is there is no easy way and its always a lose lose situation, its just a matter of who can soften the blow the best

  • bush had 8 years to fuck up the country and the economy...why is Obama expected to fix it all in one year?

  • 11 months!

  • 3yrs. At my place of work, if you don't get it, or show some kind of production on the first week your out of there.

  • Most New Yorkers are in the same uninformed, brainwashed place as red staters, they look just as clueless to informed people.

Liberals need to watch "The Obama Deception" and educate themselves what is really going on right under their noses.

The left/right paradigm is constantly encouraged by the powers that be, because they are both owned by them and with precious real difference between them. Obama's foreign policy for instance is almost exactly the same as Bush's.

    Wake up sheeple!

  • I smell wingnut.

  • My only disappointment with regards to America's last political power shift, is the fact that it was permitted to happen, thus appeasing the general populace. If Prince Bush had only repealed the 22nd amendment and rigged a 3rd term push real "change" might have occurred. The bottom must fall out; it's not an issue of what party resides in the oval office, the two-party system is an institutionally corrupt system. By it's very nature, whoever enters the stream of American politics is polluted.

  • I think Obama is doing a fine job. And remember, for God Sakes HE'S ONLY BEEN IN OFFICE ONE YEAR!!!

  • What steps has he taken to correct the problems? He has increased the budget for the military, has continued torture, is not leaving Iraq, is expanding the war in Afghanistan, voted for FISA, bailed out the superich bankers and wall street that caused the economic mess in the first place, has not reigned in government spending, is trying to take away our right to keep and bear arms etc etc etc.

Remember what I said in 3 years when things are still a mess.

  • "Where a government has come into power through some form of popular vote, fraudulent or not, and maintains at least an appearance of constitutional legality, the guerrilla outbreak cannot be promoted, since the possibilities of peaceful struggle have not yet been exhausted."-Che Guevara

  • it's you, the people who caused all these problems by electing Bush Not once but twice.

you have a good men in position now the least you can do is give him a chance back him up.

    standby Obama, and quit whining

  • Um. Blaming Bush (who was a really, really terrible president) doesn't work because the new president is continuing all the same policies. We're still at war, we still do not have habeus corpus restored, we are sending MORE troops into a pointless war (can you troop surge?), his economic policies are the same as Bush, Obama is already up to 34 unconstitutional executive orders, the dollar is being debased at a ridiculous rates, continuation of extraordinary rendition, torture. It's inexcusable.

  • Bush had 8 years to fuck it up and you expect Obama to clean it up in less than one? 8 years backwards at least 9 to pull back and get ahead.

  • "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." - Albert Einstein

  • Given that we were in a death spiral both morally and economically and given that expectations at Obama's election were insanely overstated and given the ferocity of his opponents, he is doing as well as any mortal can do. We've grown to expect the impossible from our leaders and too readily want to "vote them off the island."

Those that are mature have patience and forbearance, the immature (and impotent) whine and criticize.

  • Patience?! We already had 8 years of this policy... Wasn't this joker supposed to "change" the course the US was headed? You need to stop inhaling the demogoguery and take a real look at what's going on. Unless you like Neo-Con foreign policy, Neo-Con police tactics with a super-charged socialist economic agenda, then you should be criticizing this disappointment of a president.

  • @meme1212 peer review and criticism is how the real wold works.

If people are not happy, they must have their voices heard, just as loud as when they are happy.

if the people were even smarter, like 24 states already are, the people would want to have a voice that counts, nationally. vote on the issues, not the people. and hope you can trust them, when no two people agree :P I'm talking about Constitutional Direct Democracy, read about it at: vote. org

  • @meme1212 But anyway, why do you want to wait to leave two wars that the american people do not want to be in, and were illegal from the a start? Enough waiting while innocent people die, we are not wanted there, and we don't want to be there. so it is stupid to wait any longer.

  • You ended the vid saying most people think he is doing a OK job.. Good god. get out of the city and get in the real world. I bet I couldnt find 1 in 10 people saying he is doing a OK job and I would be lucky to find the one.

  • A city isn't a real world?

  • Disappointment implies an inherent prior expectation... And in that sense Obama is delivering exactly what I expected and what he said he would. As for whether that is good... all I can say is more people need to listen to Ron Paul.

Call me a Paultard, I don't care. That's your right... it's mine to be one :)

    Merry Christmas everyone!

  • If having a sound economic policy, a belief in classic liberalism, individual liberty and a non-interventionist, peaceful foreign policy makes one "retarded/paul-tard," then give me a hockey helmet and put me on the short bus.

  • LOL @ The guy who called him "Worse than Jimmy Carter".

Obviously that guy doesn't understand how economics works on a large scale.

This country was heading for double digit unemployment long before Obama got into office... that's not saying I feel that he couldn't be doing more.

  • He certainly did inherit a huge mess from 8 years of Bush.

  • So why is he continuing the mess instead of cleaning things up? Oh... Because he is owned by the same corporatist interests as Bush was.
