  • 3:11 spit lol

  • would make a good open carry gun.

  • I have a 23 now that I carry, should I get a 45 or a 10mm?

  • @GTILOUD 10mm is my favorite round by far with .45 and .357 Sig behind that. I had the G29 (10mm) briefly, but sold to a friend and bought the 30SF. I didn't have anything in .45 that I'd consider carrying, and best off all the G29 and G30 are the same gun, just different chamber. Then buy a KKM conversion barrel and a couple G29 (or G20) mags and you'll have a 10mm.

So far: 700 rounds, no jams, 1 FTF with 200gr Hornady DPX .45 +p. Conceals great with MIC holster.

  • @GTILOUD .45

  • Magnum 500 might just end any fight

  • @Chris28456 ... and 6-10 fights taking place behind that, then embed 12" into a tree.

  • @seventhSabra haha exactly

  • Love the dedication to impartial reviews, man. One nitpick though, perhaps delve a little more into your deep knowledge of gun knowledge, and pull out more tidbits like the one referencing: the fact that the original glock was designed to be chambered in 9mm, which may be a factor. other than that, excellent video, I watch your vids all the time, keep up the good work!

  • "no handgun cartage that will end the fight" Check out the Five-Seven

  • 9mm is as big as a person who wants to carry needs if you shoot sombody in the chest they are not gonna be having such a good day and are probly gonna be leaving you alone after that i have a g23 but im gonna switch the barrel to get the 9mm cheaper to shoot less recoil but the best thing that people should think about when using a carry gun its all about shot placement thats the most important aspect to look at just be able to shoot and shoot well

  • I have the glock 30 great gun its my edc with a comptac minataur holster. Nice vid nutn keep them comin bro

  • You do know that "mm" means millimeter, right?

For some reason that bugs the hell out of me when people say "mm".

Anyhow, great review of the G-30.

I think Im going to go shopping for one tomorrow.

  • Have a look at an ED Brown Kobra carry. Bobbed grip with slim VZ grips. Slim as most 9mm.

  • If you're going to carry, get a Glock 36. If you need more then 6 or 7 rounds to defend yourself, you're in a war.

  • @Cosmicblast77 Agreed! Grip size on the 30 is just huge.

  • @Cosmicblast77 what if theirs 6 or 7 people trying to do something im sure u would want more than 6 or 7 rounds? ;)

  • quit saying advocate

  • yeah that's cool and all, but wouldn't a glock 20 with 15 rounds of 10mm auto be a better bet?

  • @steelmesh. It's a lot thinner due to it being a single stack magazine. I believe 6+1. I own the Glock 30 standard frame and i'll say it is on the chunky side, but very comfortable in the hand nonetheless.

  • Awesome video! Thanks!

  • OUT STANDING ... I ALWAYS CLICK THE ADD...

  • @251251 sorry I'm not using correct grammar for you but it is the internet do the world a favor and kill your self

  • @skilledshooter86 cool beans

  • @skilledshooter86 Look at your original comment and youre telling someone else to kill themselves? Im pretty sure thats another one of your moronic grammar mistakes and you meant you want to kill yourself....

  • @Kylef7735 Thanks Kyle! I blocked him. -- Veri

  • @nutnfancy Anytime Veri. :)

  • Your a loser

  • @skilledshooter86 You're

  • I think that all of the reviewed calibers will work with good hollow points. I prefer the 45acp because if I am forced to shoot FMJ it will get the job done. Ive spoken to many WW2, Korean, and Vietnam Veterans, they told me that the 45 in fmj would take a man down. I agree with your video. More firepower is better though. I like this video.

  • movin to a shitty neighborhood. thinkin bout gettin this gun

  • I absolutely love my glock 30. carry it with me. im 5'6 150lbs and it doesnt bother me much

  • What about the Glock 36 45 ACP...its the thinnest glock ever produced.

  • I just got this gone last week and it is my daily carry. I forget i even have it. Although i am 6'4 tall and 230lbs so fits me nice. My first glock and love it alot. Nutn keep up the vids bro love them very informative. Starting to look at your pf9 you always talk about just worried if i had to use it hopefully never have to that 9mm wont do a through and through and harm someone else. Not as experienced as you so that could be the dumbest comment ever but in my head regardless thats why i went

  • you must be the tiniest person ever

  • @Mrlooseskrews, By definnition Glocks are not really DAO pistols, they are technically SAO pistols. I do believe the striker is only half cocked before pulling the trigger TBH. But if it doesn't go boom you have to manually charge the weapon and pull thr trigger instead of just pulling the trigger. No second strike capability.

I'm not trying to attack you or anything its just this is a misconception that I regularly see posted here and in forums, misinformation is detrimental to learning IMO.

  • This is glock 30 sf.

  • 20 years in security. My personal is this in sf with a MIC holster. Can't go wrong with it.

  • If you need to carry more than 8 rounds in your gun, two back up mags, a back up gun, ect....you are hanging out in the wrong hood. one gun, 7-10 rounds, one back up mag and your good to go.

  • A shot to the spine, throat, head (thru to the brain), heart, diaphragm, or testicals with a 9mm will stop a man. Even a 32.

For a bear, damn, I wouldn't use anything less than a .44mag if a handgun is the only choice.

  • Tell me more about the trigger. In 20 minutes all you said was good trigger. How many lbs is the trigger? How long is the pull? Double Action or SA? Does it ever jam?

  • @SuperPogiDaddy All Glocks have a 5.5lb trigger. It feels mushy and not so crisp to me. I drop a Ghost Inc. Rocket 3.5lb trigger connector in all my Glocks and the trigger is suddenly fantastic. It's a very inexpensive part and easy to install.

  • @SuperPogiDaddy Also, it is not really a long trigger pull, but it does have a lot of slack. It is double action only, and Glocks are the most reliable auto-loading pistols on the market. Hands down. I've never had one jam. Ever. Even dirty and dry with 200 rounds through it in one range session. Good luck.

  • you wouldn't give a good review unless it was for what you carry. It makes me wonder what makes your nutz fancy?

  • isnt there a glock in 22 LR

  • @123johnyable

    sadly no

  • @123johnyable

just mods to make your glock shoot 22lr

  • X10!

  • Nice job, thanks very much.

  • Nutn! you spit on the page with all the different Glock models! For shame, Nutn, for shame... Lol just messing with you :P

  • by pocket you mean a pack pocket right? cus this is one friggin' big gun no matter what its called.

  • I thought SF is short frame..Slim frame is G36

  • @c2ranger sf is short frame.

  • how is the 9mm cost effective when you need an expanding load to "get the job done"? lol just sayin.... love your vids nutn

  • @johnone17 last I checked you don't need hollowpoints for paper assailants. ;)

  • @mysss29 you don't need fmj's either ;)

  • @johnone17 hahaha fair enough

  • @johnone17 because you dont need expanding loads to shoot targets? look at the price of bulk 9mm and bulk .45. you need expanding 45 tbh to be effective, fmj sucks balls

  • @jimmyhoffa9 worked well in WWII. .45 FMJ's work very well as effective man stoppers. What I am saying is that .45 FMJ's are cheaper than 9mm HP's.

  • thanks for the good info

  • Good vid.. Gonna get a glock 30 in the next month or two.. Gonna get a kahr p380 as a CC weapon first though. The glock 30 I'd say is not really a cc weapon in any sense. I'd say the glock 27 is as large as a cc weapon can really go (without major modifications in dress..etc) which I hope to get as a winter carry oneday... Amy good lasers for the g30??

  • @timmy101able I carry a G30 everyday concealed w.o major mod of clothes. also, if your gonna get the G30 for home protection of the range, you might as well step up to the G21. And if you do want to carry concealed and you think its too big, go with the G36

  • @johnone17 *or the range

  • @johnone17 The G30 is not too big at all and easy to conceal. I have it on me all day while at work. That's 10 hours every day without a problem and I'm only 5'11", 170lbs...wear fitting clothing, nothing to baggy. I don't see anyone ever having a problem concealing the G30 unless it's summer and they wear tight shirts. The one thing that does suck it leaves a bruise about 4" to the right of my crotch because I sit and stand up a lot. No mod of clothes necessary unless it's summer.

  • @timmy101able That is not true at all. As I commented to johnone17, the 30 is just fine for EDC and you will have no problem concealing it. Whad I didn't like with the G30 is the magazine. The 10 rounder sticks out more than I like so I went with the 9 rounds plus a pearce grip ext. which gives me room for my pinky and also makes it easier to conceal. Take it from me, you'll have no issues carrying a G30. I carry it 10 hours every day and I'm medium to small built guy.

  • Whats funny is... I come to youtube now to see what you have to say before any purchase i make. Thank you very much for spending your time to do these reviews

  • Bleh. i watched this review to try to like glocks better but i still think they look like a weird boxy toy.

  • The .45 acp is a weak turtle. The 10mm glock is more powerful, and vesatile. The 125gr or 135gr hollow point 1600fps self defence round will blow a big ass hole in someone. the 200gr or 230gr fmj/ hard cast 1100fps will make a affective penetrating round. You can also do the 357 sig, .40 cal, and 10mm all in one gun with the change of a barrel.

  • @Darksideofdetroit Post a video of you shooting yourself in the chest with a .45 acp round and maybe someone will believe you. I'm kind of amazed, I've never heard someone think the .45 is a bad defense round. You're kind of a fool if you think as such.

  • @vcMalice You can die with a .22 to the chest, so what's your point. I already know about bullet placement. Ok lets get technical then. 45 acp at 1000fps/835j and the 10mm at 1600fps/ 983j. .45 has a rounded trajectory and the 10mm has a flat trajectory. Lack of speed for the weight? Bullet drop? Accuracy? What am I saying? The 45 will kill but, any bullet will. Just because it will, dosen't mean it is the best round. The 10mm is better all around. Numbers don't lie. Do your homework.

  • Comment removed

  • @Darksideofdetroit Delivering less energy and a rounded trajectory doesn't make it less adequate. I didn't call it the best defensive round, I was pointing out it's not inadequate as the "slow turtle" seemed to say. Bullet drop at any defensive distance is inconsequential. I agree the 10mm delivers more energy and probably does more damage but it's like comparing a Lamborghini to a Ferrari, they're both awesome.

  • How do you keep that 30 nice and Black & shiney like that ? LOL That is a good looking gun ! I like the Gen 3 finish better than the Gen 4 finish !

  • The Glock 30 is awesome stoked with 185 or 200 gr +P hollowpoints ! Mainly, Hydra-Shoks, Golden Sabre, and Hornady TAP or Custom ! It's good with the big 230 gr too however especially +P 230's ! It makes up for the slight short barrel and juices it up a bit !

  • Nutn,

I really think that you could have done more justice for this pistol. You know I am your biggest fan but this video needed more details. For example, holsters, magazines (9 rounds v 10 rounds), the flush 9 round advantage, Glock 21 mag compatibility. Anyone interested in this gun I suggest researching the examples above.

    KODIAK

  • Great video! I have the Glock 19 now. I was looking into the 29 but the ammo is more available and cheaper for the 30. I held a 30sf at my local gunshop last week and wow... it felt like it was part of my hand that's been missing! I thought about trading in my 19 for the 30sf, but I think I'll just keep the 19 and add the 30 to my "collection." Thanks for the informative video.

  • I can't decide between the 29 or the 30. In the long run ill get both but planning to purchase a pistol at the end of the month.....decisions decisions

  • @bigboy40cal Neither get a Glock 36. Your more likely to carry it. The 45 acp kicks a little less then the 10mm not to say the glock 20 isn't a great choice. I don't like 10mm in compact guns personally, but I do feel it is a suitable choice for self defense and service. There are police officers who carry the 10mm auto. Whether its the backwoods or urban city the glock 20 is great. I personally prefer the 45 acp and I really like my glock 36 because 45acp+p is a good backwoods caliber gun too.

  • Summer comfort holster does not fit the Glock 30. Info only.

  • Holsters?

  • Wow the comments on this vid have nothing to do with the glock 30, its like a slap fight in middle school, nyways good review on the gun, plannin on getting one soln as I save enough dough

  • I went to a local FFL and (for the first time) impulse purchased a Glock 30 because the dealer dropped enough to make it worthwhile. In all honesty, I've shot as well or better with my G30 than my Colt Combat Commander. The Glock 30 has MILD recoil for a compact, polymer framed .45 ACP. The little handgun is light, compact, manageable recoil, and very accurate for the size. It took me over 20 years, but I'm onboard with the Glock 30.

  • @deussolinvictus How does the recoil compare to the full size glock 21?

  • @derekmasuda Not bad. In some ways, the balance and fit of the G30 makes felt recoil seem a little less than the 21. I'm actually selling my Commander because I've just shot better consistently with the G30.

  • @deussolinvictus Very cool. I bet you could almost buy two Glocks for the selling price of your 1911 lol. Thanks for the feedback. Filled out the paperwork yesterday now I just have to wait ten days to pick up it :P

  • Nice job on the review. I myself have been kicking around what to get. I do believe I have made my choice. The glock 30 sf is my new handgun of choice. Thank you nutnfancy.

  • Nice vid

  • I do mind the Glock triggers..

  • Looks like the good old-fashioned troll war is still in progress

  • love your reviews. But "SF" = short frame.

The Glock 36 is the "slim line" subcompact .45

  • SF stands for short frame. The distance from the front strap to the back strap is shortened. There is nothing slimmer of the SF models. This has been argued time and time again. If you are thinking slim then take a look at the Glock 36.

  • how bout a review on the kimber solo

  • someone please correct me if im wrong, but doesnt SF (glock 30SF) stand for short frame not slim frame? ive been told it is the measurement from the back strap - finger hold(dont kno the correct term).....

  • I'm pretty sure it means "Slim frame." If you hold them both in your hand, you will feel the difference and it will answer your question. I just recently bought the G30, then held the G30sf and was pissed i didn't see the sf first.

  • @rolling9657

As i understand, it stands for "Short Frame".

  • The sf isn't short frame it's slim frame!!! The G30 and G30sf frames are the same size. One is just slimmer than the other. IF you hold the two you will see what I am talking about.

  • @rolling9657

I don't mean to argue, but it does in fact stand for short frame. I'll quote "SF = 'Short frame'. The G30 and the G30SF are the same width, so it's not "slimmer" with respect to width. The trigger reach is shorter and the heel on full-size models is reduced, so the circumference of the grip is smaller. It could be considered 'slimmer' in that overall sense."

  • @ddrotzmann yup sf does mean short frame. they make the bit where your webbing goes shorter and the front of the grip itself shorter(easier to see when comparing magwells-theres no spare room at all)

  • Great video. I just bought one today. I wanted the best .45 I could get. Great review.

  • Will the glock 30 fit glock 21 magazines?

  • @Harshmeister123 Yes, all compact or subcompact Glocks will fit the magazines of the Big brother in that same caliber. Interchangable with no loss in reliability.

  • Do you have to request a Glock 30 SF at a gunstore or are all glock 30's SF?

  • Comment removed

  • @jrengo87 Yes,you have to specify that you want a "slim frame" model. The full size glock 30 is a bit bigger or "thicker"

  • @jrengo87 you have to request a sf model(short frame).

  • Thank you for your time and awesome video, could you clarify one thing though? I am currently considering purchasing this model and was curious about the safety. Could you explain to me where the safety (besides my trigger finger) is, or what is to keep it from blowing my nuts off concealed? LOL thanks.

  • You remind me a lot of my uncle, also in the air force.. Retried at captain.. thanks for the vids dude.

  • This is the first review I have read on Utube.....Very informative.....Thank you for taking the time to make and post this video!!! I am selling my Glock 27, and buying the 30 tomorrow.........As an LEO, this again is very much appreciated.......Keep up the good work!!!

  • As always, a great review. I have a number of Glocks. My most recent Glock purchase is the G29. The small 10mm is surprisingly accurate and I do not find the recoil to be unmanageable or distracting. However, I know I'm not shooting my G19! I am looking forward to adding the G30 to my collection. Again, thank you for your informative reviews; your effort and expertise is appreciated.

  • @R7T7W77 i want to get a G29 so bad. But they are a pain to find. Can't you just buy a different barrel for a .45 since you already have the 29? I think they are the same frame.

  • the web site says it's 23.99 oz. not 26

  • Great review. I love my 30. I thought the 19 was my favorite Glock, until I fired my 30. Recoil is ridiculously manageable for such a small gun with a big caliber. CCW is a little uncomfortable at first, but I figured out a comfortable position.

  • Pocket monster!

  • Glock 30 is great but i think I'm gonna go for a compact springfield XD45 4". I saw a glock 30 in a gunstore case and the springfield compact 45 xd and it didn't seem to be much bigger. Though I'm not sure between the xd and the glock 36. I really like the size of a glock 36, but its lower capacity. I think I would prabably go for the 36 over most micro compact or chopped 1911's.

  • I found a tan glock 30 at a local gun shop a while back and I'm still kicking myself for not buying it

  • @SturmRugerSR9 saw a pink one and i feel the same now as well(im a guy)

  • That must kick so hard

  • @fredjustsucks not really, .45 kick is overrated tbh. I have small hands and i need an sf frame to fire .45 glocks, but even with the full size frame(which i cant hold properly) its easy enough to hit with it. its just a thump kick really, not snappy like higher velocity rounds

  • I'm a owner of the HK .45 USP and never thought I'd lke the Glocks, but I think after watching all the TNP Glock reviews I think I'm going to purchase one. Thank you TNP for the awesome reviews!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dr. Nutnfancy: On the recommendation of this video and my own research, I purchased a Glock 30 and picked it up today. I know it will take work to get good with (this is my first glock and actually first polymer gun I have owned) but it feels right in my hand and I know any issues are mine, not the gun. THANK YOU for this video!

  • Using a 10mm on a alaskian bear? lol

  • @rempli

I know right you use at LEAST a .44 mag, better yet the .500 s&w mag

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA at 14:00 to 14:10 :D

But ya bigger calibers recoil springs can be a bitch on steroids because of the extra actuation force needed. I've had more reassembly, and even disassembly problems than I'm willing to admit :)

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA at 14:00-14:05 :D

But ya I know spring guides and other recoil mechanisms can be a bitch on steroids to put back in a gun.

  • also....im looking for a holster for my glock 30. im a bigger guy and the side holster isnt comfortable for me. i also like to pull from the back of my waistband with my palm facing out( so the bottom of the mag would be facing my right side.) any suggestions?

  • i love how my xdm 45 strips down. love it. but i just bought a glock 30 SF after much research and your vid as a reference for my CCW

  • Is that a glock refernce guide or a catalog? And where is it from? Great vids.

  • Comment removed

  • Okay i think the pocket freight train title really belongs to the Glock 29. Just SAying Lol. :) 10mm ihas more power and penetration than .45. However, .45 is EXCELLENT.

  • Comment removed

  • @0:36 but... but what about the .500 magnum? hmmmmm I think no matter WHAT size the stone your throwing, it doesnt mean squat unless it hits 'em were it hurts

Good philosophy. now I want one -_- thanks Nutn!

  • @trezzy,, it looks and feels like a mid sized gun but it is classified by glock as a sub compact.. Don't kno y....

  • l love the glock 30, l have one an I even shot better with it than the longer barrels

  • Hey fancy bro I have a question about the glock 30 maybe u can help me out on this I filled up my mags which ate 10 rounds and when I tried to load it the slide became hard and it would not chamber I had this glock for awhile I use it for a carry weapon but that's never happen to me

  • thats a mid size handgun. not a sub. sry.

  • millenium pro is not as wide, same capacity, simple field strip. and last but not least half the price

  • i want to buy a glock 30 this week soooo the way it sounds it is worth it right........?

  • Can anyone tell me how well the ammo feedramp is polished? Will it shoot 45acp ammo other than hardball consistently?

    Great Video!!

  • @michaelaxsmith It's a Glock. Period. It will perform flawlessly as long as you don't use backalley dumpster reloads at the pistol range for $20 a box. Any other caliber or size of Glock doesn't care what kind of crap ammo you feed it, but I've had the slide on my Glock 30sf not return to full battery from using dumpster reloads at the range. Shoot reputable, brand name ammo with your 30sf.

  • @ThePresticle1 What I was really wondering is will it shoot good hollow points as well as good old hardball.

  • I own the Glock 30 and absolutely love it! It's a great gun with a ton of awesome accessories. I installed fiber optic sights and the LaserMax internal laser sight. Awesome!

  • I have a Glock 23 and love it but I'm really thinking bout picking up the Glock 30 this Friday.

  • Thanks, good vid... I am considering the Glock 30 after watching this. Fly safe!

  • NutNFancy, your voice kind of reminds me of Kyle Gass, only adding firearm lover to rock and roll star. You rock dude.

  • this pistol has the same width dimensions and is shorter than my sp101 which i pocket carry. it also weighs less. Loaded.

  • Nice video love the chunky gun feel. I have tried it on for size at the gun shop. Still on the fence. I will continue to enjoy my Glock 23 gen4 for now.

  • I have this one and I'm 5'7" 150. It is a little on the bulky side. But it will put you down. And that all that matters

  • What oil do you use on your glocks

  • @giorgiofabbri027 baby seal oil

  • I have a question about glocks. There is no safety besides the double trigger safety. I would be nervous to carry with one knocked in the chamber (10 and 1) because could have a accidental discharge. Sigs w decockers and double action to single seem better or a revolver. I wud think the only way I will carry my glock 30 is just a mag inserted and cock back the slide quick before firing. Do any of u Guys trust that trigger safety 10 and 1 ?

  • @kylebonk the only safety is the one between your ears. If your finger is on the trigger before you are ready to fire, it isn't the machine's fault. That is your fault. There is NO SUCH THING as an accidental discharge. It is a NEGLIGENT Discharge. YOU are the safety. No mechanical intervention will pelace proper training and attention to detail.

  • @SpartanCombativesGrp I agree. my work holster i totally trust.. but my carry is for concealment and its nylon material.. but ur right.. all in all.

  • @kylebonk loads of people trust the system. the little trigger bar crap it just there for aesthetics, but the only nd's with it have been user fault(they all admitted to it). just be cary of leather holsters as when they get softer with age, you better make sure the trigger doesnt get taught on the leather(its happened)

  • old school nutnfancy.... miss you, bro.

  • @ nutnfancy I really wish you would understand that it is a slide STOP not a slide release. BIG difference. It is not intended to be used like a slide stop.

  • Great review! I'm really considering this for my ccw gun. Down between this and the lc9. Would love the .45 but don't know if I want the bulk. Keep up the good work!

  • Don't forget the mag extensions +1,+2,

  • I have a Glock 30. I was wanting to put a Crimson Trace Lazer on it. My question is,...do you think the over all grip would be to thick? I have large hands, but I was wanting your thoughts on it. Thanks

  • Good review. What about the loss in velocity from a short-barrel .45 ACP. The .45 is slow as is, so does it get "too slow" with short barrels like the G30?

  • @mr00jimbo not really. if there's issues you can just use a hotter load for defense

  • Whats funny is what he said about the 10mm is exactly what I use it for..

  • Seriously considering this for a CCW...maybe the Px4 Sub-compact.

  • What's so great about a squared-off trigger guard?

  • @5440Borderline Alot of people like putting their off hand trigger finger onto it, to help hang onto the pistol, and also its good for pushing up against barriers, when firing while taking cover.

  • Glock 30 = garbage

  • @pd1030 I must clarify this by saying that I am a lifelong Glock fan, but as a firearms instructor at a dept that has just switched over to this as a primary weapon I have seen more malfunctions in a single qualification period than in my entire 10 yrs as a firearms instructor. That beibg said, I love the 21, but Sig sauer p220 is my personal choice.

  • @pd1030 Your an idiot.

  • @tactical2bagpipes what exactly makes me an idiot?

  • @pd1030 I don't know.
