@eternalblackproject1 He really hasn't. People praise him because he has "fixed" the economy, which is bullshit. Sure, Yeltsin was corrupt and fucked just about everything up economically. But when your economy runs on nothing but natural resources, your economy will eventually look better when gas prices stabilize. He also just stirs up nationalism via building up their under-funded, under-trained, under-equipped military.
