How did you carve detail in the plastic??

@Halo3TheArbiter It's not carved, it's layers of cut plastic. I used a sign making machine to cut a thin film of plastic which I then applied to other thicker sheets of acrylic plastic. Then the sandwiched plastics were painted over and weathered.

The forerunners didn't get very far building this thing did they... no wonder they all died out! Cold winters can be a bitch! Nah jokes, looks pretty sweet! Like the army of Grunts... Grunts ftw!!!

Halo 1 & 2 figures were made by a company called Joyride Studios. They made quite a few waves including a small vehicle scale and the 7" ones pictured. Until Joyride Studios went under they were owned by ERTL.

When I saw the Ebay picture I was like "anyone can do that" then when I saw a picture of it that showed more of the detail i was like "damn!" It looks really well-made.

@haloplayer9392 Thank you, it's even hard to say the still images show the details well. Not to toot my own horn but in person it even looks better, you can see the nuances of the weathering.

whats it made out of cardboard wood metal?

@gamer4life46 Mostly acrylic with a wood shelf base. Then other plastics are used for the detailing. Finally the whole display is painted and weathered for an ancient look.
