  • Nice tip, I'm trying to condition my hands to do finger breaking eventually.

  • I'll ask you guys at expertvillage, would love to get a reply:

In Bruce Lee's "Enter the Dragon" you see O'Hara holding his own board in one hand as he breaks it with the other. This is the iconic scene when Bruce Lee replies "boards don't hit back".

My question is if this is even possible in real life, or just a film trick? I know that few tricks were used in "Enter the Dragon" - even the beer bottles were real because they didn't have break-away glass at that time.

  • lol, this guy is punching with the bridge of his fingers and not the knuckles!

  • a dojo in being fat! lol

  • i punched lockers in high school to Condition my hands for karate and i also used my freinds.

  • im a judo brown belt and ill kill this fat guy

  • Fat fucks/

  • Two things, karate isn't a real martial art, they never win any fights. Second, why are these karate "masters" fat as fuck, something is wrong there...

  • @georgethemonkey there are over 18 different karate styles and some of them are quite effective not all but alot are and saying its not a real martial art is incredible insulting and ignorant, and alot of masters 5th degree's and higher tend to be a bit rounded however i do agree about these guys

  • Could Anyone give me some suggestions on teakwondo excercises?

  • Does any one here take karate

  • @789mrking Haha..... me... O.o

  • how does punching a board condition your hand o_0 i thought he was gonna say like put on hand creme or something.

  • wow what a coward didnt break the board

  • what is up with all the tape on his belt?

  • @DrPain2008 That's his degree. That means he's a 4th degree black belt. I think.

  • Couple of big boys there.

Too many martial arts pie eating contests.

  • who would break boards with their fingers?

  • @Allanl3e It's a classic way to break boards. (with your fingers)

You have to condition your fingers first obviously.

  • The guy holding the board looks like he's about to fall asleep

  • why would you nail a board to a tree? Do you know how freaking that would be?

  • Is it a necessity at this dojo to have goofy hair?

  • My god, instead of conditioning your hands you should condition yourself.

The prof is fat but the yellow belt is laughable. Look at that moon belly.

Do you imagine what a real Martial Artist in shape would do to them?

  • 2 fat asses teaching karate..... only in america...

  • both of em

is karate for the biggest looser now or personal defence? This teacher is a softy!

When I was a kid my coach whooped me into shape like a drill sgt.

Cause if he didn't! I would of got my ass kicked in a compitition!

  • ugh stupid guy shaolin monks taught me to condition my hands with newspaper take a bunch of newspaper pile it until it gets as fat as a phonebook (or just use a phone book) and hang it on a wall and punch for 1-2 hours a day

  • For fingers, the ninja would hit them into the ground, then when he was able to do that good, he would fill it with sand, then clay, then rocks. this takes about 5 years to master.

  • Fat ass shames to Karateka around the world

  • lol

  • I'm not an athlet but, seriously, DO SOME CARDIO, 20MIN A DAY AT LEAST. you think you will win ONE SINGLE real fight with that weight holding you on your position????????

  • @doddoso ...you dont have to be light to win a fight.... take the boxer "butterbean" for example, fat as hell, but still fast, and still strong.

  • @TheJoshy1992 don't make a general example from ONE SINGLE LONE person.

  • Christian martial arts? are you fucking kiding me? There wasent a single martial art invented by a boxer

  • he look like BOB in tekken 6

  • ya...shut up fatty...give me some i'll break it....

  • lol all american karate teachers are fat

  • @milnusthegnome I'm an American martial arts teacher and I'm not fat....... you shouldn't make generalizations like that...

  • @thatguynamedbrent SHUT UP FATTY

  • well ... every one feel the board when they dont break it :D *even people with "developed calcium" xD*

  • @NiePatrzSieTutaj yeah i know that hurts pretty bad

  • fattt break

  • It's a shame that some people can only focus on their own fears, prejudices, and judgements. I apologize for the fact that this happens.

Thank you for this video, and for your demonstrations. I found them very instructional.

  • Fat asses...black belt my ass

  • I wonder where you can get those extra wide dan bars for the belt..... :p

  • Lol. Look at the guy holding the board... his belt is holding his belly up.

And that black belt needs to learn how to tie his belt properly. Both ends should be the same length.

  • lmao

  • ha thats true...but i use a board and just pound on it. im a girl, and i dont even need to "condition"

conditioning is for little punks :)

  • @Anahit11

I think conditioning is good, even if it's just a little bit of conditioning.

Imagine if some attacks you, you punch them and your hand breaks. It's not a good idea to have a broken hand when someone is attacking you. Its just like a soldier's gun breaking as they go to shoot. Or a chef goes to turn on the oven and it doesn't work. Your tools need to work.

  • @zBloodD3monz about the belt lengh not really, i dont really see any one even careing about it, how their belt is tied.

  • @GxMice that's unfortunate that they don't care

  • damn...... i never knew they re-made Beverley hills ninja

lol just kiddin .. good video :)

  • hmmm... these guys know how to condition your hands, and on the part about diffrent conditioning your fists for board breaking, only thing i did besides punch walls was mostly do push-ups on my knuckles. trust me. you do that for about a month, and punch a board and you won't even feel it.

but i did knuckle push ups since i was a white belt and didnt have to break a board until my green belt test, so to each his own, i guess.

  • Hey chill out about the fat jokes....the camera really does add on pounds....lol

  • i dont beleive these guys are martial artists and a black belt, you lose alotta weight during martial arts

  • maybe they just always eat when they are not doing martial arts. LOL

  • A goatee is a sign of being jobless.

  • lool the guy holding the board is a fuckin bear

  • These guys are true warriors! They don't live in basements or eat Twinkies or anything. They certainly don't play World of Warcraft or have interests in anime, and they definitely have hot, real-life girlfriends. They can win in a fight with just about anybody because of their excellent cardio conditioning and outstanding physical fitness.

  • how do you know all that? XD

and what is wrong with WoW or anime?

and yes, there are some hot blind women

  • haha, lmao i thought you were serious but then i saw the sarcasm

  • Whats wrong with WoW i play and i study martial arts,I play like maybe 30 mins every 2 or 3 days though lol, cause im so busy with martial arts and other sports. btw these guys are cool

  • if you have ftw in your name i'm 99% sure you're lying about the wow thing, unless you mean you don't play wow because you're playing some other game like spore or whatever you damn kids do

  • Err, no. These guys are practitioners. They could definitely do some damage, but given the opportunity they wont.

True warriors would be those who fight and die for a just purpose.... Military personnel, for instance.

  • Those fat fucks have to wear specially designed shirts underneath their gi's to prevent the fat from bursting out.

  • Like I said, they could definitely do some damage, but given the opportunity they wont. In other words:

They could sit on you, but it would tire them out so if they have a say in the matter they wont.

  • Comment removed

  • i know a guy who weighs 258 and is like 80% body fat and can do a magnificent lil backflip and does a great conditioning on his tuff scalp-rug

  • Some of you people need to shut the hell up. Sure these guys may be fat but they can kick your ass. I kno a kid thats 16 and weights 180 and like %20 body fat that can do a blackflip kick it doesnt matter how big you are

  • well im 165 lbs, at about 5% body fat and i have never taken a karate class in my life. however i compete in boxing, wrestling, and weight lifting. i am also a vetran, and i bet i could kick the crap out of tubby any day of the week.

  • I have been a practitioner of Taekwon Do for ten years, I train kickboxers. It is a different training style. In boxing, you train to take a hit. In martial arts you train to not get hit, but hit the other guy. Weight lifting? Strength has nothing to do with fighting superiority. Power in fighting is speed+technique+accuracy. The average real life fight lasts for less than 20 seconds, physical conditioning really does not have much to do with fighting, it is how you fight that matters.

  • me too, 160 3% ninjutsu and muay thai, with some various kung fu and okinawan karate. they just cant keep up.

  • liars are so boring.

  • apparently someone is jealous and/or nastily fat and cant seem to get over themselves. proof? look no further than my vid, im the redhead. get a life and find a treadmill.

  • @gonzohippiecom lies, he'd sit on you and you'd become breathless

  • -Bruce Lee 1940-1973.

  • I'd say it to their faces simply because its 'christian martial arts' ... and they would only be allowed to take out their anger on inanimate objects

  • the force required to break a board is about the same required to break a human rib. I weigh 149 pounds and have 6%body fat and am a 2005 state champion in the mens advanced blackbelt devision. Don't let the fat trick you, some of my toughest fights came from people who look big. It doesn't matter how big you are, but how much muscle you have underneath the flab. I bet you two guys wouldn't tell either one of these martial artists to their faces what you just wrote them

  • i completely agree my sensei is a short fat little thing and boy oh boy i had a suprise landing my fist on his gut HE IS BUILT LIKE A BRICK SHIT HOUSE!! just cos there fat dont mean there unfit!

and i think its the same with skinny or in my case exomorphic (i think thats right) were not weak just thin look at bruce lee he was no arnold schwarzeneggar but he was bloody strong!

    keep on practising man!

  • to an extent, but when it comes to practicality, the strong, and very agile and quick fighter will always always win.

  • WTf is this? blackbelt academy for the morbidly obese

  • I can tell they are both in top physical Condition, They must have excellent cardio to look like that, I bet they can last real long in a fight, Especially the Yellow belt, Damn He looks like about 400 pounds of solid Muscle Mass..BAHAHAHAHAHA..:-X Sorry I couldn't hold it anymore
