  • Quit hopping , you Scottish Pansies!

  • I know that ref, prob of the same Federation as the other who've posted here, and he's given a lot to karate in Scotland. He's well respected and I have a lot of time for him.

  • there are no more wazari techniques - only ippon nihon and sanbon

he is a qualified ref, and unlike most karateka actually knows the rules!

p.s. i am now one of the 'blazer boys' after fighting at national/international - every sport needs refs.

  • Where on earth did they get that "Hey Jimmy" ref? The word is hajime and why does he score ippons for all the wazari points? The blazer boy officials were the bane of my competition life at university and it looks like nothing has changed in 17 years!

  • You don't know much do you! wazari has not been used for years .This blazer boy, I know personaly and has done karate for over 35 years he's forgot more than you ever knew .The give up a lot of there time to give somthing back to the sport .What have you ever given back to the sport? You could tell him personally what you think as he officiates nearly every weekend up here in Scotland.Bye the way if you are paying off a student loan you could probably get your money back

  • Its supposed to be Kumite.... not bullfight...

  • cool, i wanna do karate at uni next year but i think i'll keep to the katas. dunno, it looked a but confuzzled at this angle.

  • Notice Martin (in blue) tapping his head just before scoring a jodan gyakuzuki at 1:44. Awesome! What do you think, should the sanbon at the end have scored?
