Great question. I heard Pat Benatar and Neil Geraldo asked the same question once. They had a young teen daughter at the time and said she was totally embarrassed whenever her mom came on the radio. She was also embarrassed by her Pat's "look" from the 80s. This was probably around year 2000 or so. Kids are kids.

Thanks Lindsey. I'm a part-time musician with three kids. One played with me, one ran sound begrudgingly, and the third played with me because her friends did (all church bands). Each of them has very different music taste than dad but at least that gives us something to talk about too. Each has introduced me to music I wouldn't have sought out.
