@bergercurtis Hey dude, that car was owned by Rob Ferolli in South Africa. It got burnt down, with an accident on the dyno. It had a 1.8T in the front, and a 2.0T in the back, making it a 4wd mk1 haha. I've seen it in person, and it fucking goes hard !!!

I bet you didn't mention the designer of the MK1 Golf, it was an ITALIAN designer by the name of GIORGETTO GIUGIARO of Bertone fame, he formed his own design consultancy ITALDESIGN and penned the Golf mk1 for vw in the 1970's.
