@kaylewintress Kayle there are a lot of companies that are hiring. But it can be difficult to find who they are and how to contact them. Go to the site above we have done all the research for you.
To all of you guys wanting to get started in the oilfield, but don't have any experience, you're not going to make as much money as this guy says! I've been in the oilfield for over ten years. Guys with no experience are going to start out making $10 - $12 an hour, and plenty of overtime. If you're willing to work, you can make 50K your first year. But if you're lazy they'll run your ass off. No slackers out here! Good luck to you.
There are all sorts of jobs. Roughnecks average pay is in the $20 per hour range. But with overtime thats where the bigger money is. Derrickmen make around $30 plus per hour--they get lots of over time too. Drillers make $35-40 per hour with lots of overtime as well. Tour pushers make over 100k per year, Offshore Installation Managers make 120k-150k, rig managers make even more. So these can be really decent paying jobs.
Thanks for the help. This is just what I have been looking for. I knew there had to be a way to get info on these oil rig jobs. You have done a good job here.
you can go to williston ND and get a job in a second on the rigs. or even make 15 bucks an hr at pizza hut. there are over 1000 job openings and you need absolutely no experience at all. Thats what i do for a living. testing wells and flowback

WARNING! The Ninian Central Platform cracked during construction. The management ordered a cover-up. The cracks were disguised and the rig was completed. Reinforced concrete oil rigs were never a good idea. This one is a potential death trap. No one wants to take responsibility for shutting it down so guys like you end up living and working on a disaster waiting to happen. We all know it's a dangerous job. It doesn't have to be a dangerous rig.
I have looked on this site, and it don't say anything about no experience.. i would like to get in to this kind of work, I will be 25 in a few months, finding it hard to get employment at the moment, and think this is something i could get in to.
I know someone that has an oil rig job and he makes great money. It's hard work, but hey, you're only young once. And you know, come to think of it, I don't think he had any experience either.
Does it have to be off shore rigs? And do you think it can work in a town called Bakersfield California? I'm very interested in working on oil.
