While I would like to use Konami music, I think I have some room to fit music from some other Shoot-em-Ups. Which version of Open your Eyes do you prefer?
I have to reupload Gradius: The Dark Armada Beta 1(of which I have a Gaming Session of on my channel) since the download link is dead, but once I reupload it, you will be able to download the game via the download link on the video description in the Gradius: The Dark Armada Beta 1 Gaming Session.
Choose your favorite tunes from any Gradius(main series and Salamander ONLY), Contra or Metal Gear(preferably the NES and MSX ones). I'll then do a sound rip for use in Gradius: The Dark Armada.
If you can voice act, however, I'd love to bring you onboard the development team.
I'd rather actually have the original tunes from the actual games in the Gradius/Salamander series. Same goes for Contra and Metal Gear. I usually despise remixes, which is why I'm asking for the original tunes.
I think the reflex ring is a bad idea though. That particular weapon is more useless than the flamethrower against Nemesis 3's giant eyeball boss. x.o
Can't wait to see what weapons make it back to the line-up.
Finally, instead of using the vic viper double / triple shot on four ships, you could vary that up a little as well. The chaotic free-way double from the arcade Gradius 3, a verticle shot, and a 90 degree front-firing arc triple shot as an upgraded double would be neat. Think of in the MSX parodius where the souble shot on one of the ships actually caused you to fire one bullet straight, one upwards like the standard double, and one downwards.
Remember what I said about the different weapon setups. Only Type A weapon setups are demonstrated. I'll have Type B, Type C and Type D in another Test Video after Beta 1's released. I will have the Free-Way Double and a Vertical Double, but I'll also have stuff like the Reflex Ring with another gun or some new Doubles like Ground Shot(self-explanatory) and Ghost Ship(creates an image of your ship that trails the main ship - think of it as a 5th Option).
The super Cobra seems to be a little TOO super. The laser... an MSX style Vector laser without having to upgrade for it?
Instead of using 4 different missile types for 7 ships, maybe you could bring in some old classics from Gradius 3, or the old 2 way crawling missiles from Salamander. But the return of the backwards-firing spread bomb in particular would be an awesome spectacle.
I unfortunately can't change the Metalion's size nor the size of the bullets.
Don't worry about the Buster Ripple. The Vector Laser is more powerful than that.
Remember that each ship has 4 different weapon setups, and I will have more missiles(Control Missile, backwards Spread Bomb, just to name a few) used then. For Beta 1, only Type A weapon setups are available.
I prefer the "Open your eyes from Zero Wing" tune. That's what I recommend.

So how does your games all work exactually? How can I be able to play them? The structure and formatting of your gaming choices are very interesting.

All right. I've still got a few little bugs to iron out, so once that's done, I'll send you a PM with details on how to get the Laser working.

The game is still programmed for use with a keyboard, unless you use Joy2Key. However, if you're Player 2, that's your only option.

Oh, okay, neat. :D

A few things I'd like to pick at:
Metallion is HUGE.
So are the bullet sprites.
The super Cobra seems to be a little TOO super. The laser... an MSX style Vector laser without having to upgrade for it?
