I'm not a scientist so correct me if I'm wrong but is the red colour to do with the photons being scattered by atoms in the Earths atmosphere (like the oxygen and nitrogen in it). I believe that's the reason the sky is blue, but I've never been sure which one makes it that colour. I know it isn't the same in both cases as, in some cases, the moon goes blue (like the sky) so it's more or less the same process

I think that it has more to do with the dust and pollution in the earths atmosphere. As the sunlight passes through the earths atmosphere onto the moon, it reflects red light from these particles.

These dust particles are the same reason as to why we experience orange/redish sunrises and sunsets.

i dont think it has to do with pollution, just the angle of the sun. because hello, sunsets were still red in before people invented hummers and polluted the planet.

Very nice job! I've posted a timelapse video of the eclipse on my channel. I shot for an hour and a half (start to totality), then sped it up 80X. It was minus 24 C up here in Canada, so I didn't shoot the back half! Interesting date coincidence with Acts 2:20 is also explored. Check it out!

one of the signs is that the moon will turn to blood and thats not blood its just a slight change of colour. So i dont think this is an actual sign.
