Being a stay at home Dad clearly leaves you no time to do anything fun. How short of a cord can this do with the 60 point schema? Do you have to slow it down based on type of foam? I see you like slicing the easy stuff! LOL
@Fearlessthinker Oh yes, nothing but work work work for me! I've tried cutting a 1/4" diameter hole before and ended up obliterating the core. So clearly 1/4" chord is a lower limit. :-) I haven't tried cutting the harder stuff yet. I slowed it down because I found that step periods below 320 x 16 micro-s (about 200 Hz) made the steppers unreliable. I know that isn't very fast but that was the figure I came up with; at least before I made improvements to the nuts.
