I use a registered version of Fraps.

The original screen res of this video was 1920 x 1200. I then use Ulead VideoStudio to edit and compress it.

Two reasons why this is very high is because

1> i run LotRO in this screen res and changing it is time consuming and often results in me missing what i wanted to catch if its not planned.

And 2> quote from Youtube..... "in general, the higher the resolution, the better. And HD resolution is preferred..."

The drawback of this is the file size can be very large if you don't use a good codec when compressing the video.
