Many people commenting know nothing abou comedy writing. If Peter Kay never wrote another word he would be up there with the all-time greats. Even Peter Cook (who was a genius) dreid up at age 25. Ronnie Barker was able to write for so long because the Two Ronnieswas a formula.

He didn't write Porridge, Open All Hours etc like many people seem to think.

99% od people would take several lifetimesto think of what Peter Kay has managed to do in less than ten years.
